Chapter Thirty-Seven Devin rolled over, slowly waking up. An IV line was still secure in his arm. He had reluctantly allowed Brian Stoffer to start an infusion of a medication that supposedly strengthened the cells so that they better withstood the effects of time travel. This was the same compound he’d given the volunteers who had traveled back in time to create Devin. Since he had been subjected to a time jump once and no one was sure how another move through time so soon would affect him, they weren’t taking any chances. He had only agreed to the IV when Brian and Matthew promised to find a way to accomplish the mission and still get him back to his time.
