Chapter Sixteen SIX WEEKS LATER Devin got out of the car carrying a small backpack. TV16 had provided a vehicle, a driver, and a plain-clothed security officer. “I’ll be back in a few hours,” he said to the men. “Yes, Mister Baker,” the driver said. “We’ll be here to get you back to the apartment.” The partnership he’d worked out with TV16 had proven to be more valuable than he’d expected. Not only had they found him temporary housing that included security. They were also helping him find a more permanent residence. He needed a place to live that was gated, with security.
