Chapter Fifteen
Early one morning, a couple weeks later, Devin lay awake in his bed, thinking of all he’d learned. He had recently completed all the experimenting with the hospital group, so he had a clear idea of what he could and couldn’t do to heal people. The results of the testing indicated that the life of the injured tissue was the most critical factor. If the muscle, nerves, or bones were still alive, then he could make amazing things happen. If the cells within the tissues had already died, there was nothing he could do.
He had tested on a patient who experienced brain death following a drowning. Nothing had happened with his touch. Another patient who had suffered some lesser brain damage following a high fall got back almost all functionality.
