“Aw, look how cute they are!” Lynn turned the laptop towards Alexis so that she too could see the photos of the puppies.
Lynn had been conversing with a woman in Virginia about a litter of Dalmatian puppies for nearly a week. After learning her hCG levels had more than doubled, and the pregnancy was progressing as it should, she’d been obsessively searching for a puppy. Calista continued to mention the puppy they’d promised her on a daily basis. Looking at the cute little puppies was also a way for Lynn to keep her stress levels down. It prevented her from worrying over the man that had been following them. Over the course of the two weeks, since the private security officers were hired, they’d only spotted him once.
