“Hey Daddy,” Lynn smiled when she looked up from the bed with heavy eyelids. For the most part, she’d spent the entire day sleeping while Alexis and the girls went out grocery shopping. Exhaustion claimed her the moment Alexis left, despite the fact her aching body was tired of lying around in bed so much. With a yawn, she tilted her head when William sat down on the corner of the bed.
“I come bearing a gift.” He reached down into the bag he held. Lynn gasped when William pulled out a strawberry iced doughnut with an abundance of rainbow sprinkles covering the top. “I had to run out and buy another gallon of paint.
