Lenora tugged off her jacket, tossing it on the back of the recliner before she joined Alexis in the kitchen. “My internship starts next month. I can’t believe I actually got it.”
“I’m so proud of you!” Alexis pulled Lenora close, hugging her tight.
“We’re both are proud of you.” Lynn stood, offering Lenora a tight squeeze. “I knew you could do it.” With the six days of bed rest behind her, Lynn was already elated. Hearing Lenora’s news proved to be another bright spot in her day.
“Thank you both. I couldn’t have done it without both of you.” Lenora grasped both of their hands as she smiled.
