CHAPTER FORTY-FIVE
“Stop for a sec, I’m going to use the flashlight on my phone.” Charlotte had to raise her voice to be heard over the water.
She’d avoided using the flashlight, conscious of keeping as much battery charge in case they were there a while. But the few seconds she turned it on were worth it. The cavern Rosie had mentioned was right here.
“Here, let’s go a bit inside and sit.”
The cavern wasn’t deep so she helped Zoe onto the stone ground at the back. “I’ll find something to free you.”
“My pocket. There’s a box cutter in my keys.” Zoe moved to give Charlotte access to her jean pocket. “Those idiots didn’t even bother checking I had anything once they took the phone.”
