CHAPTER TWENTY “Mum, it’s just us.” Trev called as he inserted his key into the front door lock. All the way home he’d scoured their surrounds for a sign of this person. First Charlie and now his mother. “In the kitchen, dear. Making tea.” Trev held the door open for Charlotte to go first then scanned outside in case the man was still loitering. Nothing moved along the street. He locked the door and headed for the kitchen. Charlotte had grabbed the apple tart on the way out, insisting Rosie would need to share it with them.
