CHAPTER NINETEEN
Rosie told Charlotte to leave closing up for her so she grabbed some shopping bags and headed for the supermarket, unsure what to cook but wanting to make something special for Trev. For a while, she wandered back and forth, considering options, before spying a tub of locally made ricotta cheese. She did a quick search on her phone for a recipe and then collected the ingredients to make a baked ricotta and salad. There were some sweet red apples and she chose a handful. Some cream and pastry finished the basket. Then a bottle of wine.
Back at the apartment she put the wine in the fridge to chill and prepped the little menu. Once Trev arrived, the ricotta dish would go into the oven and when she took that out, an apple tart would go in.
