CHAPTER THIRTEEN Sally Austin was softly spoken but intense. She’d come in within half an hour of Trev calling and sat on the other side of his desk, her eyes flicking around the room, rather than looking at him. The whiteboard was her main focus, which he’d covered with a sheet before she’d arrived. “Your phone message indicated you have some information about the night of the fire at the real estate agency.” Trev prompted. “What would you like to tell me?” Still not looking at him, Sally took a sudden quick breath. “Yes. Yes, I saw something. I was taking a walk and a man ran past me. Yes. Ran past and almost knocked me over.” “Did he bump you? Hurt you?” “No. But he was close and swerved around me and kept running. Fast. Running fast.” “Where were you at this point? Which street?”
