Chapter three

This week went by in a flash with nothing major happening finally it was Friday, my birthday! Luckily we don't have schools on Friday. I slept in as best as I could, only waking up around 11am. I did my morning routine and wore a yellow sundress with black flip flops. I put my hair in a messy bun not really feeling like messing with it today. Just as I was leaving my room the girls where about to knock.

"Glad your finally up. These two are bouncing off the walls," Alex said. Bianca snorted and replied, "Duh! We need to go shopping."

Sure enough Bianca dragged us all out to one of the packs range rover and pushed us all in. In record time we were in the malls parking lot. Gosh does this woman drive like a mad man. She is around Axel age and just turned 18. You would think with the few years of driving she would get better. Nope, I think she has a death wish with how crazy she can drive.

We went into every shop. It didn't matter if the store did not fit our styles Bianca and Tosha refused to miss even one. Somehow they would find something to buy in every store too. After being at the mall for hours we all had sexy outfits for the club tomorrow night. After all that shopping we grabbed some food and headed back to the pack.

As we got back to the pack house I was starting to get really nervous. The pack had everything set up for my shifting ceremony. I would be front and center for them to see me shift then we would all run together.

"Calm your nerves girl! Lets meditate. I will be there for you the whole time while we shift." Chloe might be crazy and outgoing, but she always knew what to say to calm me down.

We had a few hours so I sat down and cleared my mind. Meditation was so relaxing and soon enough I was deep into. Before I knew it Axel was knocking on my door letting me know I needed to hurry up.

Holding my head high I walked in front of everyone to the stage and took my seat. Axel was right behind me and went to the center of the stage to get everyone's attention. He thanks everyone for coming and went over the honor of being able to see someone shift for the first time. If we are being honest I didn't pay attention. Why should I? Its the same speak every time. Finally, I heard Axel call my name and I stood up and walked to his side. He pulled me into a bear hug and whispered sweet words into my ear.

Once the moon was above us I could feel the shift start slowly. At first it was a wave of energy going slowly through me until it was so heavy I felt like I couldn't breath. Then it became an agonizing pain. I could feel my skin stretch and fur start sprouting. Then it was 10x worse when my bones start to break. I felt like I died and went to hell. Slowly though the pain started to go away and I felt fine.

When I was comfortable enough I opened my eyes and everyone was looking at me in shock. I pinched my brows together and looked at Axel. His mouth was wide open. Is something wrong.

Nothings wrong they are just surprised. Chloe told me. "At what" I asked her and all she did is laugh.

I mind linked with Axel. "Why is everyone looking at me strange I asked him."

Instead of answering in words he showed my wolf. I was as big as a male alpha which is rare. What was even more rare is I was a black wolf. Almost pure midnight black. I only had white on the tip of my ears.

I was shocked as well. Even though I'm an alpha female it has never been heard of for a female to be almost pure black. My wolf was one out of gosh knew how many.

Finally, I get out of my head. I let out a power howl. Everyone follows suit and we take off for our run. We ran for hours going everywhere. Once Chloe and I was done only a hand full where still running with us. I let my brother know that I am done and he supported me back through my shift to human form. It was a little painful but nothing like before. I slipped on a dress and that one of the other female wolves handed me. I started walking to the house slowly and painfully since I didn't have energy left. Axel came up and picked me up taking me to my room. To exhausted to fight about it, I decided to let sleep take a hold of me.
