Chapter Two

I woke up to the beeping in my ear from my alarm clock. I groaned as I turned it off and pushed myself out of bed. I got up and started getting ready for the day. I took a scorching hot shower letting it wake me up. I got out and brushed my teeth ad fixed my hair and makeup. I settled with half my hair down in waves and the rest up in two galaxy buns. I'm not big on makeup and settled for just eyeliner, mascara, and a light shade of red lipstick. Going to my closet I settled for a yellow shirt that hugged ne just right with a black mini skirt going a little above my knees and knee-high black boots.

I went downstairs to where Axel was already eating breakfast. "I know I'm cutting it close again," I told Axel as I grabbed a breakfast bar and started eating it. Axel washed up his plate and told me that it’s time to go. We head out to the garage and got in my brothers’ baby. It is a midnight blue Z28 Camaro. Oh, how this baby purred! We listened and singed along to the music during the short drive to school. As we pulled up to the school many students waited for us.

There are a lot of werewolves in our school. They range from our pack, to the neighboring packs, and even rogues. Most of us found a balance to get a long here. This is neutral territory not owned by any of us plus there are many humans that we don't want to expose ourselves to.  No matter if it is human or werewolves our alpha blood made people drawn to us. Humans are drawn to our aura. Whereas werewolves have many different reasons to be drawn to us. It could be for power, to be friends, favors, or to hurt us.

As we get out Axel is only surrounded by his friends. I call them the f**k boy crew. Even though my brother is sweet to me him and his friends are the type jocks that think they can do what they want. I don't care if it is because of our statues as werewolves since they are all high in statues. They could at least be a little nice to others and not use them. My brother and his idiots take off.

I on the other hand only allow few people to hang with me. I don't want to accidentally place my trust into the wrong people. I might be a hypocrite because I get mad at my brother, but I am labelled as a b***h. I act stuck up and push people away but like I said I don't want to get hurt. My small group comes up to me. We all say morning and they start talking while I zone out.

"Earth to Nat!!" Bianca yells at me waving her hand in front of my face. I look over at her and smile. She chuckled lightly. "Ready to go to class?"

"I guess," I told her linking my arm and all four of us started going into the building. You could feel all the eyes on us. Girls hated us while guys look at us with lust. Any more I was used to it, but no matter what it was still annoying.

"So, what are we doing for your sweet 16 Natalia? Let’s go big gurl!!" Bianca told me.

"Yes, let’s go to that werewolf club since you will finally be of age," Tosha started jumping up and down with her hands behind her back. It reminded me of an anime scene. She is always so alive and full of energy.

I kept thinking if I wanted to go or not. "Ugh I guess!" They all stopped and looked at me with their mouths open. I laughed so hard a stray tear ran down my cheek. "I promised Axel I would try to act my own age, so I guess this is a good starting point.

"You almost gave us all a heart attack. I thought we would have to make Axel come over here to see what was wrong with you. At least you are keeping your word which means you can't back out!" Tosha stated as she went back to her normal self.

After dropping by our lockers we went our separate ways. My first class was social studies as we settled down the teacher started and I doodled in my note book. All my classes went on like that I would pay enough attention to take what notes I need, but I zoned out for the most part. School work comes fairly easy, so I didn't need to pay too much attention.

Finally, lunch came along, and I rushed to the lunchroom. For it being a high school or lunchroom was fancy. You had multiple options and we had professional cooks that would put out a different menu every couple of days. The dining area itself would make you think you went to a fancy restaurant. I walked over to our corner table where my friends were already at. As I say down one of the many kitchen helpers brought me my food. He was an older gentleman from our pack. The perks of being an Alpha was that even though I said I didn't want special treatment I would still get it. He always said he wanted to make even the smallest part of my day easier. So he would mind link me and ask what I wanted that day and bring it to me as I entered the cafeteria.

We relaxed and joked around during lunch we were all excited about this weekend. Tosha and Bianca did most the talking while Alex and I just sat back, Alex was timider then the rest of us. She was more of the observing type.

Lunch ended quickly and so did the rest of the school day. After school I went back home with Axel. I finished my homework and did some training that night. The first shift is painful so to help with the pain everyone is to train the body and mind to help it go a little easier.
