All Colin knew was we found his cousin. He didn’t know anything about how he had a cousin or who the cousin was. I was not looking forward to telling him.
Penny and I were both on edge all day. Instead of pacing my office and feeling off base, I sent Melody a message.
RH214: Meeting with Colin today. Think I might throw up.
I set my phone on my desk and told myself I wasn’t waiting for her to reply, but when she did, I snatched the phone up so fast I almost dropped it.
WM: That would probably go over like a fart in church. Drink something and breathe. The worst is over. He already knows what news you’re giving him. It’s unlikely he knows his cousin. You’re going to do great.
