Betrayal. Heartbreak. Revenge. And a secret that changes everything. For three years, I believed my marriage to Alpha Aiden was unshakable. Despite the whispers about our childless union, I clung to his reassurances, his love, and the promise of a future blessed by the Moon Goddess. But everything shattered the day he walked through the door with a confession that destroyed me.Lisa, his childhood sweetheart, was carrying his child. And he wanted me gone. With nothing left but heartbreak, I signed the divorce papers and left the pack house. What Aiden didn’t know was that I carried a piece of him with me—a secret growing inside me. I was three weeks pregnant with his heir.Alone and desperate, I turned to the one man who had always stood in Aiden’s way—Alpha London. He was Aiden’s rival, my childhood confidant, and the only one who could help me keep my child safe. His solution was as daring as it was dangerous:“Marry me, Elena,” London said, his hand extended. “Let’s make him regret ever letting you go.”It was supposed to be a simple arrangement—a fake marriage born of convenience and vengeance. But as I stepped into London’s world, I realized his intentions ran deeper than revenge. His dark, protective gaze stirred something in me I thought was long buried, and the lines between pretense and reality began to blur.In a world where loyalty is tested and secrets threaten to unravel everything, I must decide: will I fight for the love I once believed in, or will I risk it all for a new beginning?Betrayal is only the beginning in this tale of love, loss, and second chances.

001: Barren
ELENA’S POV “Dear goddess, Elena,” Aiden murmured, lifting my hand and trailing wet kisses across the tips of my fingers. I gasped at the spark of electricity that shot through me, deep into my core. He left warm, soft kisses from my belly button down to my knee before lifting the other hand to do the same. I nearly climaxed when his teeth sank into the flesh of my inner thigh. I watched him, my breaths coming in shallow, unsatisfying gasps, and my heart pounding. He pushed my thighs apart and kissed the soft flesh of my entrance. I watched him down the length of my body, my fingers knotted in the sheet beneath me. “I want to taste you.” His deep blue eyes locked onto mine as his tongue worked slowly from the well of my core, up to the sensitive bundle of nerves, and I nearly came off the bed. “Oh, Aiden,” I screamed inside my head. He’s doing it! He chuckled, fully aware of the effect he was having on me. His warm breath heated my flesh, the warmth working its way through my veins. His tongue curled around my nub, and he sucked on my c******s, making my back arch. “I can’t wait to watch you come, sweetheart,” he whispered as his tongue invaded my opening, making me whimper. He stroked my labia and bit down gently on my c******s. Every muscle in my body seized as pleasure washed over me in warm waves, again and again. Aiden kissed his way to my navel and dipped his tongue inside. My belly quivered, and I moaned. “I’m going to c*m, Aiden,” I warned as his tongue continued to flick and suck every part of me. “That’s right, sweetheart. You can climax, and you will—over and over. I promise.” Oh yes, I wanted that. A lot. “Please…” I begged unashamedly. “Please, Aiden.” Just when I thought I was going to come undone from his tongue, Aiden stopped abruptly, his movement swift as he hurried off the bed. I lay beneath the covers, the lingering warmth of Aiden’s touch already fading, replaced by the icy emptiness of his absence. My breath hitched as I watched him move away, his steps deliberate, his bare feet pressing soft, uneven thuds into the wooden floor. His back was to me, shoulders taut like a bowstring, tension radiating off him in waves. “Aiden,” I whispered, my voice trembling under the weight of confusion. I clutched the blanket closer, as if its embrace could shield me from the coldness that now filled the room. “What’s wrong? Why did you stop?” He paused but didn’t turn. Instead, his gaze fixed on the window, the moonlight sharpening the angles of his face, rendering him unreadable. A moment passed, thick and suffocating. Then he spoke, his voice distant, each syllable clipped. “Because I realized how much of this... is a waste of time.” The words hit me like a punch to the chest, stealing the air from my lungs. My pulse roared in my ears as I forced myself upright. “A waste of time?” I echoed, my voice cracking. “What do you mean?” Finally, he turned to face me. His blue eyes, which had been warm and alive just a while ago, were now as cold as the winter sky. “If it weren’t a waste,” he said bitterly, “why haven’t you given me an heir yet, Elena?” His words hung in the air, slicing through the fragile thread holding me together. My chest tightened, the accusation cutting deeper than I thought possible. “Are you saying this is my fault?” The question escaped in a broken whisper, my voice barely audible over the thudding of my heart. He didn’t respond immediately. His silence screamed louder than any words could. "How can you say that?" I choked, tears threatening to spill. "After everything we’ve been through, everything I’ve—" “Elena,” he interrupted, his tone hard, impatient. “This isn’t about feelings. It’s about duty. I’m the Alpha. I need an heir. And after three years of trying, there’s still nothing.” My breath caught as the weight of his words pressed down on me. “Do you think I haven’t tried? Do you think I don’t lie awake at night wondering what’s wrong with me?” My voice cracked, spilling raw pain into the space between us. He ran a hand through his hair, his frustration surfacing like a storm barely held back. “It’s not about blame,” he muttered, though his tone betrayed him. “But people are talking. They’re starting to say you might be—” “Don’t you dare,” I cut in, my voice rising, trembling with a mix of anger and despair. “Don’t you dare say it.” His jaw tightened with defiance. “Barren,” he said, the word a cold blade slicing through me. “Barren?” I asked, my voice tinged with disbelief. “Yes,” Aiden said, his voice cold and detached. “You’re barren. If not, why aren’t you pregnant?” I froze, the word cutting through me like a blade. Barren. The man I had loved, the man who had held me through countless nights of heartache, had just called me barren. Tears welled in my eyes, hot and unstoppable, spilling down my cheeks. My chest heaved as I struggled to process the venom in his words. This was the same Aiden who had once kissed away my tears, telling me we would get through it together. The same man who would hold my hand and promise me, over and over again, that it was only a matter of time before we had a child. How could he say such a thing now? “What the heck happened to you?” I whispered, more to myself than to him. My voice cracked with the weight of my heartbreak. “Aiden, we’ve been trying. I’ve done everything I could—everything. How can you—” “Enough,” he snapped, his tone sharp enough to make me flinch. “I don’t want to hear any more of that stupid sob story, Elena. Because I’ve had enough!” My tears came faster now, my vision blurring as I watched him stride to the corner of the room. He grabbed a shirt and a pair of shorts, yanking them on with a kind of fury I didn’t understand. “Aiden, don’t walk away from me,” I pleaded, my voice cracking. He didn’t spare me a glance, didn’t even hesitate before storming out of the room. The door slammed shut behind him, the sound reverberating through the silence and making me jump. And then, it was just me. Alone. I sat on the edge of the bed, staring at the closed door, my tears soaking into my hands as I held my face. The room felt colder, emptier, like all the warmth and love had been drained from it. Three years. Three years of love, hope, and dreams—shattered in a single moment. I thought back to the nights we had shared, the whispers of encouragement, the promises we had made to each other. And now, this. The man I had given my heart to, the man I thought I knew better than anyone, had become a stranger. My sobs grew louder, filling the emptiness around me. All I could do was cry and wonder how it had all fallen apart.
