CHAPTER 10
When Alison came to pick up Ellie the next day Althea was waiting to talk to her. She was excited about the chance to visit with Cole and see more of the country.
“Hello, Alison,” said Althea when she answered the knock on her door.
“Hi,” said Alison smiling. “How has my girl been today?”
“She has been a sweetheart. She is always a joy to keep,” said Althea.
“Just what a mother wants to hear,” said Alison going over and picking up Ellie and giving her a cuddle. As always, Ellie was excited to see her mom.
“Allison, I need to talk to you for a minute,” said Althea.
