Chapter 3

Sean POV

I stood out front of the school with Ashton's favorite pastry and coffee. I had a feeling she was running late when she didn't answer my text this morning.

I glance at my watch.

Right on cue, Ashton comes running up to me with 2 minutes to spare.

"Good morning beautiful" I say while handing her the coffee and bag.

A big smile spread across her face. "You're amazing" she said with a sigh of relief.

"So...." I started as I walked Ashton to her first class.

"How does a romantic dinner under the stars, followed by s'mores over the campfire and ending with a cozy tent for two sound"

I spent all night thinking of how to make our first time together the most memorable night of Ashton's life.

I anxiously waited for her response.

Ashton POV

Thankfully I had just taken a large bite of my pastry when Sean told me his plans for tonight. He looked so excited. But imagines of my dream immediately flashed through my head. Could I handle sleeping out in the middle of the woods tonight? Even if Sean was there?

I slowly finished chewing while I thought of a response.

"That sounds great, but we don't have to do anything fancy. My dad doesn't come home until Sunday night so we could just do dinner and stay in at my place".

Sean's smile slowly faded. "I want this night to be special and memorable for you Ashton, for both of us".

I stared at him for a moment. Maybe I was being too nonchalant about this. It was both of our first times. It should be a special night.

And it was just a silly dream. There is nothing to be frightened about. Especially with Sean by my side.

"I'm sorry, it sounds wonderful. Let's do it" I agreed.

Sean's face lit up again. "I will pick you up at 7pm tonight"

He gave me a big kiss goodbye and headed off to his own class.

I couldn't help but feel anxious about tonight. About loosing my virginity and being in the woods.... all night.

At last the final bell rang. Officially the weekend

Today was a blur of lectures and exams, none of which had my full attention. The anticipation for tonight was all I could think about, my 18th birthday and my night with Sean.

I unlocked my front door and stepped inside. I had a little over 3 hours before Sean was picking me up.

I decided to take a quick nap, 'cuz realistically who knows how much sleep I'll get tonight'

My phone alarm woke me up at 5:30pm. I hadn't anticipated sleeping that long but I'm glad I had set an alarm just in case. I just in the shower and then began packing a bag for tonight. Cozy clothes, toothbrush, hair brush.... the essentials but I also threw in a sexy lingerie set I bought a few months ago when I thought we may be close to "the night".

6:30pm

Still a bit of time to kill so I decided to put a bit of make up on. I wasn't going to bother but Sean was right, this is a special night. I should be treating it as such.

7:00pm on the dot

My doorbell rang. I grabbed my duffle and headed toward the door.
