CHAPTER 2 - FIRST ENCOUNTER

THERESA'S POV : Flash Back

It was the last week of middle school, when the Junior High Theresa, and the Senior High Sebastian had their first encounter inside their Campus.

They attended the same school, since it is the only one in Nation A that offers world class training and facilities for the students. Basically the school was for those Rich and Elites.

Despite the fact that they basically knew each other, since Theresa was a known campus beauty and brain, she was accelerated 2 times in primary school and 2 times in middle school, while Sebastian was known as the campus nerd, they still haven't even talked to each other.

Despite being born and part of the elite family, Sebastian didn't have the immunity of having to be bullied. He was a handsome and a fine young man but because of his glasses, aloft attitude and a smart ass student that other students labeled him as the campus nerd.

Theresa was chatting with her friend Cindy, who was her childhood bestfriend. Despite the fact that Cindy only belongs to the middle class family and the reason why she was able to attend such prestigious school was because of Theresa's parents sponsorship, it didn't stop Theresa from being friends with her and it didn't stop Cindy to strive for success and just like Theresa, Cindy had been accelerated 4 times the reason they have been both inseperable.

As they headed to the Library to return some books, they saw a bunch of footballers who were busy laughing at someone as if bullying another student.

Theresa who always hated bullies was furious to see the sight. Despite her petite and small size, she was strong willed and not easy to be bullied.

As she was about to go towards the crowd, Cindy suddenly pulled Theresa back.

"Theresa stop whatever you are thinking! Are you crazy? Those are giant guys and look at you. Look at us! They are like 5 to 10 years older than us." Cindy reprimanded but Theresa had her mind fixed and persisted as Cindy followed close by.

Theresa knew what the possible consequences were but she didn't mind at all. She really hated how one person can make fun and insult someone with lower self esteem.

As Theresa neared she immediately saw a guy all curled up in the corner, she then sprinted towards him as a ball of water was about to be thrown towards the guy.

Just as the ball was thrown, Theresa came right in to cover the guy and was the one that was hit as she got all wet and drenched.

With brows furrowed Theresa shouted at everyone with all her tiny might.

"What's with all of you! How could you be so ruthless! Get lost!! Now!" Theresa exclaimed as everyone looked at each other in shock and in horror not because a tiny girl covered the nerd but because they drenched Theresa, the campus beauty.

Cindy on the other hand were as shock as everyone, not because she was drenched but because she shouted at them the very 1st time she saw her go out of her prim and proper ways.

Soon everyone bowed and apologies to Theresa but she brushed all of them as she stood still while covering the guy that was being bulied. The moment everyone left, Theresa knelt down and took a glance who the guy was and to her surprise it was Sebastian. Sebastian Smith.

Theresa knew who he was, other than because he was labeled the nerd in the campus but because their dad's were good friends. She knew him but never really talked to him, he was always busy with a book or just doesn't want to talk to anyone.

"Sebastian are you okay?" Theresa softly ask as he leaned to help him get his glasses.

"Yes. Thank you but you really shouldn't have. You are drenched." Sebastian answered as he got his glasses and wore it.

Theresa stood up with the help of Cindy as she reached her hand to Sebastian to help him stand as well.

"Dont worry it's okay. It's just water, I'll dry up anyway."

Sebastian grabbed her hand and stood up.

"I better go. Thank you again." Sebastian answered and paused.

"Theresa." He softly added as he turned around and left.

"What a wierd guy, he even had the audicity to just leave you like that after what you did for him." Cindy complained.

"Well, he is just like that. Besides he said thank you already that was enough for me." Theresa answered as she tidied herself.

"Wait, you know him?"

Theresa did not answer and instead pulled Cindy as they headed immediately to the Library.

After a few days, it was finally the last day of school and everybody was elated and excited for summer vacation.

Theresa was casually lounging by the field while waiting for Cindy to finish with her last errand for the school year when suddenly and odd sight caught her attention.

More worried rather than out of curiosity, Theresa followed the bunch close by.

"Huh! He thinks he can easily get away because he is a Smith! He just got lucky last time since Theresa came!" Spoke one footballer as everyone laughed.

"That's what he gets for being such a nerd and an i***t! He thinks he can get what he wants by being like that, huh! In his dreams!"

"I really hate nerds! Let him rot at that hole!"

Spoke anothet as everyone laughed.

Hearing the conversation, Theresa immediately knew they were talking about Sebastian. She felt shrills as she was both pissed with those bullies and worried about Sebastian. Without waiting any further she immediately went to where they came from in the hopes of finding Sebastian sooner.

As she reached the far end of the campus, Theresa looked everywhere but couldn't find Sebastian anywhere. So she opted to calling his name.

"Sebastian!" Theresa shouted once but to no avial.

She tried again but still no answer, but it didn't stopped her so she walked around more and called for Sebastian over and over again in the hopes that he would somehow hear her and answer.

When suddenly Theresa found an abandon well at the corner, it wasn't that deep but it sure was nasty and dark in there.

Hoping to finally see Sebastian at the same time hoping that she might be wrong, Theresa looked over the well, and to her surprise Sebastian was indeed there. All curled up with a cut on his forehead and his eyeglasses gone.

"SEBASTIAN!" Theresa shouted as sebastian looked up.

"Who- who is th-there?" Sebastian asked worriedly and shaking.

"It's me! Theresa. Hold on, i'll get you out okay!" Theresa answered as she panicked, while she looked around for something to help Sebastian come up.

"Theresa?" Sebastian answered with curiosity and uncertainty in his tone.

"Yes, it's me! hang in there!" Theresa shouted back.
