CHAPTER 1 - WEDDING

Marriage is a risk. It is full of uncertainty and doubts but for most people, getting Married is one of the most wondrous thing anyone could ever dreamt and wish for.

What if you are to get married to the one you truly love but only to realize it is not what you imagine it would be, like in the fairytales that you read.

Will you still wish to remain married or will love truly conquer all?

THERESA'S POV: Wedding day

The sun has been shining extra brightly today as the ray of sun hit Theresa’s face. It was a lovely day perfect for the big event and everyone was excited and elated.

It’s finally the day that Theresa have been waiting for. Her wedding day to the only man she ever loved. But right now, it seems a part of her wanted to run away and vanish herself away from him.

As the make-up team are busy glamming her up, Theresa was lost in her thoughts with mixed emotions.

“Will I be able to make it through with him? Can I really make this work?” Theresa thought to herself as these things keeps running back and forth in her head.

She then took a deep breath and just wished for this day to finally end soon.

After some time, Theresa was finally done as she wore an elegant off-white tulle queen anne neckline ball gown wedding dress with light pink rhinestones beaded on the upper part and floral accents at the bottom part. She paired it with light pink and white Swarovski crystals headband crown, making her like a true princess.

She had light make up on, to accentuate her natural youthful beauty as he hair were nicely braided and kept up into a floral bun.

Theresa’s head of her wedding team suddenly came as she informed her to go on standby since the ceremony is about to start and guests have finally started to arrive.

Hearing what the planner just said, Theresa felt her knees weak as she started to get nervous as the time ticked by. Theresa didn’t know what to do, as panic started to kick in so she waited for the planner to leave and immediately went into one of the restroom and hid herself as she tried to calm her terrified and worried heart.

It was finally almost time for Theresa to go to the chapel. Seeing no sign of her coming out, her best friend, Cindy, decided to fetch her from the dressing room but to her surprise Theresa was no where to be found.

Sensing something was odd, Cindy then looked around for Theresa until she found herself standing outside a closed restroom door.

Cindy then knocked as she tried her luck in finding Theresa.

"Theresa? Are you there? Please answer, I'm worried. Everyone is waiting for you." Cindy softly spoke.

"Cindy?"

"Thank goodness you are there. Please open the door."

"Cindy. I- I think I can't do this." Theresa answered as she sniffed in between words.

"What?! Are you crazy? Open the door now Theresa! Or else i'll have the guards break this door. You know my temper very well!" Cindy shouted angrily.

Theresa and Cindy have been friends since their primary years and have been inseperable ever since. Despite them having different courses after their secondary school, their friendship and bond remained stronger as Cindy have seen all of Theresa's ups and downs. And one of which is what Theresa had been through just to be where she is now and that is to get married to the man she love.

Finally Theresa got to her senses as she opened the door and immediately wept when she saw Cindy standing and waiting for her.

"Cindy. I- i'm having second thoughts. Can I really do this? I mean what if he rejects me and leave. I don't know if I can take it." Theresa spoke all her fears as tears fell from her eyes.

Cindy felt the hurt and pain Theresa was feeling as she held her face and wipwd her tears.

"I know how strong you are, you dreamed and wished for this day to come and now that it's finally here you suddenly wanted to leave? Theresa you are better than this! No matter what happens he promised on your dad's grave and that's a promise he can't break. And in the event the worst could happen you will always have me, I will always have your back. So please gather yourself so we can go back now." Cindy answered as she tried to calm and give sense to Theresa.

Soon enough Theresa held her breath as she wiped her tears and breath a deep sigh. She then looked at Cindy and gave off a faint smile as she nodded.

"That's the Theresa I know. Come let me fix you a bit. You look stunning and radiant, your ruining your beauty by crying like that, do you really want him to run away from scare when he sees you all messed up?" Cindy jokingly answered making Theresa laugh.

The Wedding was on an island resort that owned by her family, the entire resort was blocked off for a whole week just to cater both Theresa's and Sebastian's family and close friends during and after the wedding.

It was the wedding of the year for the entire Nation A, as the 2 famous and richest family of the country were to be tied because of the union of Theresa and Sebastian.

Theresa was an only child of the Wilson the reason she was adored and spoiled by her parents, but because of an uncurable illness that her father acquired, Theresa's dad passed away in a sudden making Theresa the sole heiress of the Wilson's Corp the reason why Theresa was rushed into marriage to the eldest son of the Smith's, Sebastian.

But what makes this wedding extra is that Theresa has been deeply inloved with Sebastian, despite the 5 years age gap, from the very beginning. The main reason why she immediately agreed with the marriage proposal his dad arranged with Sebastian's dad.

The ceremony is held on a beach chapel adored with all tropical flowers. While a white floral arch rests just outside the chapel door. It was an intimate wedding ceremony attended by less than a hundred people and a few selected media for live coverage. It was small but grandeous and elegant.

The only family and close friend she was able to see was only Cindy, she hasn't even seen Sebastian yet not even the day before infact she is not sure if Sebastian has really arrived.

As the ceremony started Theresa, can already here lovely song being played as she anxiously and patiently waited for her turn to walk down the aisle.

Before Cindy's turn to walk, she gave Theresa one more pep talk.

"Breath Theresa. Breath. Everything will be okay. We got you!" Cindy spoke as she smiled at Theresa and left.

Finally it was her turn to walk down the aisle as the music changed into a instrumental love song. It seemed familiar to her but she can't remember what it was and where she heard it.

As she neared the chapel, her heart beat fast the moment the door was opened and he saw Sebastian in his suit all tuxed up with his usual cold and straight facial expression. And there was no hint of even a single happiness can be seen on his face and at that moment everything that had happened before started to flash back, how she met him, how she fell for him and how she fought for him. Everything came clear to her again.
