OMEGA

I finished my shift at the office and quickly left work. I ran home, changed my clothes. After taking one last look at myself in the mirror, I hurried so I wouldn't be late for the bar. The entrance of the bar looked quite crowded. When the security guards at the door saw me, they nodded and opened the door for me to pass. Although it was crowded outside, the inside of the bar was quite calm. After entering, I saw my colleague Mehmet and went over to him. "Hello Mehmet, how's it going?" I said. "Good, Eylül, how about you? I was really afraid you'd be late. The boss is fuming tonight, said there are heavy and important guests," Mehmet said anxiously. "Ah, don't mind Mete Bey, he's always fuming," I said with a laugh. Just then, a voice came from behind me, "I heard you," Mete Bey said. For some reason, this didn't scare me at all; on the contrary, in a joking manner, I said, "You never scare me, Mete Bey." Mete Bey came over to us and said, "Look kids, tonight I want you to be very fast. I want the drinks served quickly and without any problems," he said seriously. "Okay, but who are these guests?" I asked curiously. "The Alpha King's Beta, Gamma, and close protection warriors," he said. Surprised, I asked, "Why are they here?" "The Alpha has invited them for the upcoming summer party," Mete Bey said. "I understand inviting the other Alphas, but I don't understand why he invited the King Alpha's Beta and Gamma," I said. "Actually, he also invited the King Alpha himself. He'll come on the day of the party. The King Alpha has sent the Beta and the others ahead to arrange his accommodation and make sure everything is as he wants it," Mete Bey said. "Wow, so the King Alpha is coming to our pack. We're very lucky," I said excitedly. "You don't say," Mete Bey said with a sigh. "Why did you say that?" I asked curiously. Mete Bey took a deep breath, hesitated for a moment, then said, "Because on a night with such important guests, everything has to be perfect. Even the smallest mistake could lead to big problems." "I understand, we'll do our best," I said determinedly. Mehmet nodded in agreement. --- As the night progressed, the bar door opened and the Alpha King's men entered. When they were seen, everyone immediately paused and began bowing their heads in greeting. This was a sign of respect among the bar's customers and staff. Like everyone else, I greeted them and returned to my work. However, my eyes were constantly on the King's men. I carefully watched their movements and behavior. The King's men headed toward the table we reserve for our most special customers and sat down there. This table is usually reserved for our most prestigious guests and is known for its comfort and special service. As soon as the men sat down, Mehmet went over to them to take their orders. Mehmet's tension was obvious, but he approached professionally and took their orders. Meanwhile, the rest of the bar began to fill up. Customers occasionally glanced at the King's men as they had their drinks. I also glanced at this special table from time to time. Among the King's men were a Beta, a Gamma, and several close protection warriors. They all looked serious and disciplined, as if they were on alert at every moment. After the orders were taken, they began to be prepared quickly and smoothly. The drinks were carefully selected and prepared using the best ingredients. Throughout this process, Mete Bey constantly checked on us and tried to ensure everything was perfect. There was enormous pressure on everyone because on a night with such important guests, the smallest mistake would be unacceptable. Once the drinks were ready, me and the other waiters took our trays and headed toward the King's men's table. Everyone moved with great care and attention. As I placed my tray on the table, I made eye contact with the King's Beta. For a moment, my heart beat fast, but I quickly pulled myself together and placed the drinks on the table professionally. As the night progressed, the atmosphere at the bar became even more intense. While the customers enjoyed their time, we continued to do our jobs to the best of our ability. The King's men occasionally made eye contact with us, indicating that they were satisfied with our service. This somewhat alleviated the pressure on us. --- I was praying to the moon goddess that we would get through this stressful night as soon as possible. The presence of the Alpha King's men had created a tension inside the bar, and that tension followed us throughout the night. Finally, the rush had subsided a bit, but as long as the King's men were here, the stress gnawed at me. We continued to do our jobs in the best possible way, spending every moment carefully and attentively. By the time the King's men finished their last drinks and got up from the table, it was quite late. As they were passing right in front of us, the Beta suddenly paused. At that moment, time seemed to stand still, and everyone held their breath. "I remember you from somewhere. Have we ever met before?" the Beta asked, looking at me attentively. "I don't think so, sir, I've never left the pack before. It doesn't seem likely that we've met," I said, trying to be as calm and polite as possible. "Well, what is your role in the pack?" he asked curiously. "I don't understand, sir," I said with a confused expression. "I mean, what is your status?" he asked again. I wish he hadn't asked that question. For a moment, I hesitated inside, but then I realized I had no choice but to tell the truth. "I'm an Omega, sir," I said. Being an Omega means being at the lowest level in wolf packs, members who are no different from slaves. They do all kinds of heavy work, but they have no rank. In other words, they are insignificant, ordinary wolves. The Beta's eyes widened in surprise. "One wouldn't want to believe that a beautiful lady like you is an Omega," he said with a wink. "Thank you," I said, embarrassed. I lowered my eyes and stood there ashamed, digging my nails into my palms. "Anyway, good night to you all," the Beta said as he walked toward the exit of the bar. After they left, everyone breathed a sigh of relief. The Beta's words both surprised me and made me proud, but at the same time, they increased the pressure on me even more. This incident throughout the night was etched into my memory. With the King's men gone, the atmosphere at the bar relaxed a bit. The customers returned to their usual behavior, and we continued our work. In the late hours of the night, the bar began to empty out. Customers left one by one, and we started closing preparations. Mehmet and I made eye contact, and we both breathed a sigh of relief. "It was a tough night, but we made it," Mehmet said with a tired but happy expression. "Yes, it was," I said. "But I will never forget this night." Mete Bey came over to us and said, "You did a good job, kids. Getting through this night without any problems was a great success." We all looked at each other and smiled. We had successfully gotten through this stressful and difficult night, and the happiness this brought relieved us all. After finishing our final preparations and closing the bar, I set off for home. I walked tired but happy. Thinking about what had happened that night, I thanked the moon goddess once again. This night had given me both strength and courage.
