Athena POV
“I… uh…. Well… Ares has red eyes, as you know mom and Millie. Outside at the club last night… in an alley… I kind of got cornered by 4 huge men with red eyes as well. They uh… They turned out to be… dragons”.
I squint my eyes a little, bracing myself for what is to come. Silence befalls the room instantly. You could hear a needle drop at this point. All of their mouths have dropped open, besides Maxim’s of course, and they are just sitting there staring and gawking at me. When the silence stretches on, Maxim adds on my behalf.
“It’s true. The men threatened me when I joined Athena, and I watched her shift for the first time. In fact, I actually have Flynn to thank for not being accidentally squashed by her”.
