After that day, Bella and I started spending more time together. At first, I kept my distance, I wasn't really used to becoming close to people quickly. But there was something about her, she was different, she always found a way to make me laugh, even when I wasn't in the mood.
Every morning, she would wait for me outside the classroom. "you're late again" she would always tease."I came early today" then she would laugh and say"5 minutes don't count"
soon enough, I started getting comfortable around her. we talked about school, our favorite things, teachers, music, and almost everything else. One afternoon, why we were both working home after school. Bella suddenly asked"Sasha why are you so careful" I looked at hand said"what do you mean?" "you don't easily trust people" I was quiet for a while, and said"maybe because I've never really had many friends" she smiled"you have me now" and I smile right back
For some reasons, those words made me believe that maybe I had finally found a friend that I had always wanted, to me Bella was a very kind person and it felt to me like she was the only one who understood me in this world
the way she would make me laugh, and she was always by my side every single time
I really really liked the way I and Bella's friendship was going
the way she looked at me was as if I was the only one that mattered in the whole world to her
and for me she was my only friend and she mattered more and more every single day
I shared a lot of things with her that I never told anyone of before and she did the same too
I trusted Bella as a family, and she made me believe that I could trust her to the fullest
without realizing it, I was slowly starting to trust Bella with more and more of my life, by now I and Bella had become really really close . it felt strange to think that a few weeks earlier, I had been sitting alone in the classroom, wondering if I would ever make a friend
But now I couldn't even imagine going through school without Bella . we laugh together, study together, at lunch together and sometimes stay behind school to talk. one evening, when I got home, my mother immediately noticed something about me"you look happy"she said I smiled"yes I am"my father looked up from his newspaper"what's making you so happy"he said
I hesitated for a second before answering"I made a new friend"
My mother smiled"really? what's her name"
"Bella"
"that's wonderful Sasha, see I told you" you just needed to give yourself a chance"
I nodded " she's really nice "
my parents were really happy to hear that. for the first time since we moved, they could see that I was becoming more comfortable. that night, I went to my room with a huge smile on my face. I felt like things were finally getting better
The next day at school, Bella and I stayed behind after class to finish some work. when we were both done , we sat down together in The quiet classroom
Bella looked at me and said"you know you can trust me with anything right"she said
then I look down at my hands
there was some things I have never told anyone before, things I was scared people with judge me for
but Bella made me feel safe, I started telling her about some of my, my worries and other things I struggled with
I told I have difficult it was for me to make friends
when I finish talking he smiled and promise that my secret will save with her
and of course I smile back and said thank you
Then she wished for my hand"that's what best friends are for"she said
those words really meant a lot to me. she felt like a sister and never had
From that day on, I started telling Bella more and more things about myself and things that I worry about
I though that things about my family, things that have never shared with anyone before
Everytime Bella reminded me"your secrets are safe with me"
And I believed her, I trusted her completely.
maybe that was my biggest mistake, because sometimes the person you trust the most is the person who knows exactly how to hurt you
