Protectress of the Pack

Graven Vale Town, West Virginia A forest was unknown, but gains enormous rumors about the unexplainable things that have happened for the past 20 years, making it known as the forest of death. No one in the local or even the authorities can give reasonable proof to counter the rumors, hence they remain rumors. Every night there are howls they hear, and even more during the full moon. People began to think werewolves were real due to some people missing in that area. Police scattered there every night to guard the forest - people avoid being reckless when going in there and to possibly discover anything suspicious, but just like the rumors, they only hear faint howls. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "You think Alpha Hendron is fine?!" "Dang! We have to protect the Alpha first!" "Run everyone! To the Alpha!" In a dark and wild forest, a pack of wolves runs full of devastation in their faces. They lost their alpha and beta. "What should we do?!" "Wait! This is not our territory anymore!" "Celion! Watch out!" "We should head back this area is near to the mortals!" As they were about to run again. Celion, the youngest wolf pack, shouts in pain. "Ahh!" "CELION! AHH!" "Zenob! s**t!" "Claus!....WHO ARE YOU?!" Gamma Klensus shouts "We found humans in the restricted forest. Again, we found humans in the restricted forest." An officer found them, no time to run or hide. "I must ask you that question, young boy. Who are you and why are you here?" Coldy asked by the officer. Klensus seems to be taken back with the officer--which he recognized with his question. They thought of them as humans since they are in their human forms. "Can't speak boy? Look. There's a big signage there saying "No Entry". The officer looks mad. "Sir. William, take it easy." A woman came in. "Shut up Alice, you are new here. Don't you think it's pretty good to just do your own business?" "My business is to assist you. Isn't it" "You bi--" before officer William continued his sentence. Klensus spoke. "We came here without seeing the signage. "We just wanted to have some fun. We apologize for that." Klensus speaks as he sees the fight between the two tensions. "I'll take care of these kids, William." "b***h", the officer utters before he leaves the area. "Hey, he has this bad mouth and attitude, so just let it pass. Anyway, my name is Alice. So I'll take care of you for now. "Let's head first to the safety area." The wolf pack slowly followed her. They enter a tent full of first aid kits. No one was there except them. "So, who got hurt?" Celion goes near to her and shows her his wrist. Even though they know it will heal on its own. They have to pretend. "Scratch. Okay. Let me clean it for you kid." "I'm not a kid",Celion stated. "Okay, young man" Alice teasingly said while laughing slowly, which made Celion groan. While his other brothers were slowly laughing too. "Mind to introduce yourselves? I've been guarding this area for months. And this is my first time seeing you guys." Everyone looks at Klensus. He sighed and did a white lie to save their situation. "I'm Klensus the... oldest brother and the one you are treating is Celion the youngest. "Here are Zenob and Claus, my brothers as well." She nods her head. "Good. So you go there for fun?" Klensus coughed a little bit. "Yes, just...fun" She sighs while putting a bandage on Celion's wrist. "Never do that again, guys. Not all officers here are nice. Like the old egg head named William, he has this bad temper." she laughs while saying it, while others laugh too. "You are funny" Celion stated, which he rarely tells anyone is "funny" unless he is close to them. "Well, now where do you guys live?" Alice's question stunned them. They can't even say "(pack house in the forest)" or just in the forest. "We live outside the city. Ah...we are travelers," Zenob said while Alice looked at them suspiciously. "Really? So how did you come here?" Alice asked while observing them. "We are orphans!" Celion shouted that surprised everyone. "So...you escaped?" Alice asked in a curious way. "Ye-yes! We don't want to say it at first. Because it's a personal decision. Plus, we are all grown-ups", Klensus said. Alice nodded. "It is not legal for you guys to just escape your orphanage, are they treating you badly? Drop the nme and I'll investigate." The four of them look eye-to-eye and don't have any idea what to say next. But Alice speaks again: "Silence means yes... I won't ask much right now, but I hope you will tell me about it. If my assumption is true, maybe you still need more time to relax. So, sicne you are in my care, I'll drop you by at the statio---" Celion shakes his head and holds Alice's hand with his puppy eyes "P-please take us with you" His brothers were suprised by his action and sudden decisions. Klensus almost interrupted, but Alice spoke first. "Actually, that's better, so I can guard you and can monitor as well your well-being. This is a personal decision of mine, since you guys seem younger than me. So, let's go" They all slowly nodded, not knowing where they would be going and what fate awaited them. One Rule of Alpha Hendron 1. Never get close to mortals. They have no choice but to follow her. Alice talked with some other officers and all they saw was a nod replaying to each other. Alice headed to her car and motioned them to get inside. All the three get inside in the backseat which they fit...almost. Except Celion as he was confused how. "Hey. Celion, what's the matter?" Alice asked, waiting for him to get inside. Celion looked at her with puppy eyes. Alice laughs and Celion's brother's face palms as they forget that Celion had never been into the human world and so as experiencing "human things". Alice opened the passenger seat and told Celion to get inside. "What a prince" in her thoughts as she headed to the driver's seat. The boys stay quiet as they take the dark street. Within a minute they were now in the city district. Alice broke the silence. "I let you live in my apartment. It's spacious. Since you are my responsibility. I have to make sure to find a place where you guys can stay. Especially that you are an orphan." The 4 quietly get out of the car. Well except for Celion. Having a hard time trying to open the car. He even slammed the window of his car asking for help. Knowing he was a werewolf, he could break it with another slam, but Alice managed to open it for him. "Boy, is it your first time riding a car?" Alice asked while laughing. Celion was embarrassed and just nodded slightly. Alice sighed: "I understand now get your ass off, it's quite cold down here." She led them into her apartment, which was indeed spacious. Klensus, not knowing what to do, had no other choice, but to let Alice near to them. Still, he is hunted by the number one rule given by their Alpha. He was at the doorsteps, unwilling to enter...because he knew once he entered. Many things will get even more complicated, but again...he has no other choice.
