XXII chapter

AT THE SAME TIME

AT ADAM'S POW:

All of us started walking in the first direction and Caroline seemed pretty nervous about it.

-So we are going to the town corner.-Caroline said.

-We are going to the hut nearby.-I said.

-So we are going to the town wall.-Caroline said and sighed.

-Do we have information about that place?-I asked.

-We do.-One of the guards said.- In this place a young woman was attacked and her mother. Mom was murdered and the girl was taken by killers.

-I know this place.-Caroline said, almost crying.-It was my home and I was living there with my mother. She was killed and I ran away. I have no idea what kind of people attacked us. I ran to the UO section since it was closed and I met Catherine there.

-I had no idea who you were, but I am happy that I was able to help you.-Catherine said and smiled.

-I understand that you all want to talk, but can you do that while walking? We do not have much time left.-One of the soldiers said.

All of them kept walking. The ITO section of territory was close to the city wall, so it was not too hard to get there. It took all of us about two hours to reach that place. I was happy to see that I could reach that place and find another clue in time. I kept walking with them and it took us another two hours to see the corners of that wall. It was pretty close, but we needed to reach it on foot and it took a lot of time. I heard that ITO is supposed to have a few sections for different things, but since they are considered as the city's enemies, not many care about rules like that. When we finally reached this place, I was shocked by the house's condition. I meant it was all destroyed; broken walls, windows, doors and stuff like that.

-What happened here?-I asked.

-I have no idea. When I left, everything looked okay.-Caroline said.

-I think it could be because someone else is looking for those clues and puzzle parts.-One of the guards said.

-I think it's time to look for that clue.-I said.

-I think you are right.-Dom said.

-I want to leave this place as fast as I can.-Caroline said and smiled.

-In the clue it's written that paper must be near the clue of the house.-Dom said.

-Do you think it could be a trap?-Catherine asked.

-I am not so sure.-One of the guards said.

-I do not think so.-I said and left there.

I was looking around until I saw that one brick was different than the others. I touched that brick and it got inside of the building. I saw how a paper appeared and a piece. It was another blue colored paper.

-I got it.-I said.

I started walking towards them when a strong wind made me fall in their direction.

-What happened?-I asked.

-An explosion happened.-One of the guards said.

-I told you that it could be a trap.-Another one said.

-Everyone alright?-Dom asked.

-I think so.-Simon said.

I started looking around and saw Caroline lying on the ground close to the spot of the explosion.

-Caroline!-I shouted and ran towards her.

I saw that she was still lying unconscious and I started shaking her lightly.

-Wake up.-I said. I was starting to get really worried.

-Mh.-Caroline groaned lightly.

-How are you feeling?-Dom asked.

-Good, just my head hurts a bit.-Caroline said and smiled softly.

-No wonder you got hit pretty hard.-Simon said.

I watched how she nodded and I helped her to get up.

-We have to go.-Catherine said and I nodded.

-It is safer for us to read a bit further from this spot.-One of the guards said.

I know that they are right about it. I helped her to get up and all of us left.

-I am happy that you are taking care of her so much. I can tell that you love her a lot.-Dom said.

-Of course I do. Is that even a question?-Dom said and cruckled.

--

It took us about an hour to reach a spot where the old ITO section training place. I am happy that it is not that far and that soon we will be able to rest.

-We are finally here.-One of the guards said.

-Good. Caroline looks tired too.-I said.

-Stop treating me like a small child.-Caroline said and frowned.

-I am just worried.-I said.

I watched how all of us sat down and I did the same thing. It was also a good time for us to get a snack, and it seems that Kevin took care of that too. I am happy since I was pretty hungry after all that walking. After we ate, it was time to look at that clue.

I took out that paper and started reading another clue.

If you found a first clue

Don't be so happy.

It's not the end of the road.

But the beginning of a new trip.

Another clue you will find

In old town cementery

Near the old town guard's grave.

Remember, keep yourself safe.

Protect yourself from any secrets in a way

Or a dead one will come too late.

--

-It seems that you got another clue.-Dom said.

-We got it.-Catherine said and smiled.

-Truth.-Dom said and cruckled.

-We can go towards it tomorrow. I am sure all of us need some rest.-One of the guards said.

After a while, guards started looking at Dom, Catherine and Caroline and me confused. I had no idea what they were thinking , but it might be because we ate our dinner so early.

-Why are you two eating so early?-A guard asked.

-Our parents made us eat at that time.-Dom said.

-It was the same with my mom. Her way of controlling me.-Caroline said and smiled.

-I understand now.-A guard said and nodded.

I need to rest since tomorrow is another day and another clue. I smiled and got into a more comfortable position and fell asleep.
