XVIII chapter

AT THE SAME TIME

AT ADAM'S POW:

When I try to open my eyes, I feel that my body becomes limp and I am unable to move it no matter how hard I try. I was also able to feel pain in exactly that spot where I was shot. It is weird, since, because of a simulation, you were not supposed to feel any pain. I do not understand what is happening to me. I know that I am unable to move, but I am still able to hear voices around me.

-Adam!-I heard Caroline's voice.

-We need help, now!-I heard Dom's voice.

I had never heard him screaming before, so I can tell that he was truly worried.

-What have you done to him?-I heard Catherine asking someone. I had never heard her being so mad before.

-I do not know!-I heard a man's voice.

-we don't know. It happened for the first time.-I heard another man's voice.

-First time? You almost killed him!-I heard Dom's voice.

I am sure that everyone got pretty nervous about what just happened to me.

I felt how someone lifted my limp body up and placed it on stretchers. I felt how I was taken to another room. I felt how a small light was shining in my eyes.

-Mh.-I groaned a bit and I was finally able to open my eyes.

-Adam, don't leave me.-I heard Caroline's voice.

-You can do it, brotjer.-I hear Dom.

-W-what happened?-I whispered.

I realize that my voice is pretty weak and that nobody is able to hear me.

-What happened to him?-I heard a female's voice and I am sure it was a doctor.

-He is Adam. It's a simulation job.-I heard Dom's voice.

I groan again and that finally gets the doctor's attention.

-You are inside the UO hospital room. I think you could call it that. I am nr. 92 and nr. 102. We are doctors here, so you can ask us for help whenever you wish. -A female said.

-We still need to do some tests to make sure that you are alright.-A doctor said.

I nodded and it took them a while to do those tests on me. I do not mind, since I am sure I have freaked everyone out while passing out on the simulation.

-It will take a while to know the answers and we will tell them as soon as we know.-One of them said.

-I understand, can I have some time with them alone?-I asked.

-Of course.-One of them said and left.

-What the hell happened to you?-Dom asked.

-You almost died!-Caroline said with a worried tone.

I see how she sits closer to me and sniffs.

-I am alright.-I said and smiled.

-I can not lose you either.-Caroline said and teared up.

-What do you mean by that?-I asked.

-I mean you are the only person I have left.-Caroline said and sniffed again.

-I do not understand. What happened to your mom? She left with you that day.-I said.

-My home was attacked and my mom died while trying to protect me.-Caroline said and teared up.

-I am so sorry, Caroline.-I said and hugged her.

-I am worried why this simulation worked like that brother.-Dom said.

-I think I know why.-I said.

-Tell us and maybe we will be able to help you.-Caroline said and gave me a supportive look.

-Well, when I was doing my last simulation and school, something strange happened.-I said.

-What happened?-Dom asked.

-I was separated into a few section so that the simulation did not work.-I said.

-So what section do you belong to?-Caroline asked.

-ITO. I belong to the blue one.-I said.

-But they do not exist.-Caroline said.

I watched how they left the room and I sighed. I am not so sure what to do anymore. I know that I must leave and this is the only way I can protect my loved ones.

-Doctor can not come so I came to help you.-A woman said.- How are you feeling?

-I am feeling alright, can I go now?-I asked.

-When they bring test results. Right in time.-She said.

I see how a nurse brings paper and I see that her number is 102.

-You look cuter than they said you would be.-Nurse said and ran off.

-Let me check your results.-She said and looked inside the paper.

-Everything seems to be good. You may go now.-She said and I nodded.

-Thanks.-I said and tried to get up from my bed.

-Take it easy or you will get dizzy.-Nurse said.

I got up from my bed and went left to the colidor. I walk a few meters and saw two guards walking towards my room.

-Let's go then.-I said, and followed them deeper into a building.
