“Right!” Hannah gives me a brief smile before stating her business. “I just came to warn you that Shella is plotting her revenge against you now that you’ve given up on your magic. She has this idea that you’re defenseless without it.”
“Oh,” I sigh in relief. “I thought this was about something more important.”
The yellow mermaid stares at me. “You’re not worried about Shella? Not even a little bit?”
“Nah,” I brush off the thought of Shella with my hand and shake my head, showing just how unbothered I am. “I know Shella will come for me. She seems to be that type, but I’m not worried.”
