I wake up in the morning to Kai shifting behind me. Even though we are in an underwater city, I know it's too early to get up, and I let out a sigh.
“Can’t we sleep for five more minutes?”
Kai chuckles behind me, and my chest flutters when he sits up—only to bend down and kiss my cheek. His beard tickles against my skin, and I smile. I need to tell him to shave, but for now, I’m enjoying my grizzly man.
