KYLA POV

Damn it, all my life I've never felt so stupid and useless I'm supposed to be protecting my daughter but the roles had been reversed I could already feel the tiredness seeping slowly through my consciousness I don't think I'll be able to hold on for much longer.

the sound of a twig snapping pulled me out of my thoughts I looked at Theia in a warning.

But she didn't get it.

'They found us!'

Before I could say anything to warn her further she was knocked a few feet away from me her back-breaking her fall I turned around instantly I was going to s*******r that person dammit!.

"Theia; are you all right?". I yelled hoping she was, if not I swear I'll kill them all today.

" I'm fine". she said groaning while getting back on her feet.

incredible now that I'm sure she's fine it's time to kill this fucker.

" come out now, I know you're there".

but instead of a reply the Maniac just let out a sinister laugh mocking me.

I looked around and saw no one in this area, it was like they were concealed.

ok, now I was worried but not about my safety but that of my daughter's.

I ran towards Thi quickly but immediately regretted it.

I earned a punch in the face by an unknown force and landed on my ass.

" Who are you? reveal yourself don't be such a coward fight me head-on".I said screaming at nothing in particular.

I sniffed the air and I detected individual scents lingering in the air.

the one closest to me I recognized instantly.

"FAE!". mia muttered.

no wonder he remained undiscovered he was using a concealing Spell so I couldn't see him, but who would be that dumb! I might not be able to see him but I sure can smell him.

seriously he stinks when was the last time this bimbo took a shower.

he was standing beside the closest tree to me trying to blend in maintaining the pretense that I couldn't see him I walked towards him and then last-minute kick him exactly where the sun doesn't shine.

he groaned falling onto his knees and I snapped his neck without a second thought.

THEIA POV

I watched in astonishment as she killed that fae without a hint of remorse not that I expected any and this is the first rule of the Jungle to kill or get killed.

I wonder how she saw him I mean he was practically invincible even I didn't know he was there I guess it's just one of her werewolf abilities I'm so envious right now if only I had my wolf I'd be able to protect her better.

more of them jumped down from the trees confirming our notion we were Outnumbered there were more than we could take on and as if in sync they attacked Mama.

ok, maybe I shouldn't call her 'mama' anymore I'll just call her mum cuz when I called her mama I thought you were just as cute innocent, and adorable mother that I was very fortunate to have but I see the side of her.

wait they weren't attacking me as to why I walked over to a puddle of water nearby trying to confirm my uncertainty

'nope, not invincible'.

I even threw a stone the size of my fist at one but he just growled at me like I was so f*cking pest.

I stood there in terror watching the fight that my mum was winning she had killed five of them and only six were left.
