Selena’s POV
The sudden pain in my chest had me doubling over, gasping for air. The glass in my hand crashed to the floor as the pain spread like barbed wire coiling around my body. My heart felt like it had exploded in my chest, tearing a scream from my throat.
I heard Stella and Sean call my name. Through blurry eyes, I could see Clyde jump from his seat and rush towards me. His young face was too worried, stretched in horror, which I felt was so unfair for someone that young...
And then--- it all went black!
I woke up, drowsy and feeling like someone had run through a meat grinder. Seeing the white ceiling and being surrounded by the equipment that Rain had brought in for my pregnancy and delivery, I knew I was in the infirmary.
