“You’re being observed for one more day,” Rain said with the aura and confidence only the alpha of all alphas could ever possess. “Then I’m taking you home.”
Arg!
Hearing him talk to me as if he owned me, my anger boiled my blood. But before I could say anything, my loyal guard dog stepped up.
“Back to her golden cage, you mean,” Stella barked, folding her arms over her chest and standing, glaring at Rain. But the royal bastard didn’t even flinch at her attitude...
“Elijah, it looks like Stella could use some more coffee. Why don’t you go get her some?” Rain said coldly to his beta, but the underlying order was plain to hear. It may have come out as a suggestion, but a reminder that if they valued their lives, they’d comply.
