Chapter 8 “Wake up.” I jerked awake to find Fergus watching me. I didn’t know how long he’d been back, but he’d obviously been working at his table for some time. The room had grown toxic, the smell of whatever he’d been brewing so vile that if I hadn’t had an empty stomach, I would have probably thrown up.
