King Lebanon(father of Zeus) was in rage when he heard the news from his wife. Queen Raya. What do you mean my son has been seeing that girl. He yelled in ? rage!!! Calm down your highness, I know we are mortal enemies with King Daniels kingdom but please calm down you know you are not in good health his wife lamented. Calm down, he said; you dare tell me to calm down when my son is in love with my enemy’s daughter. I won’t calm down!! He yelled. Go get my army commander Nahum and tell him to see me in my throne room.He commanded. Yes my king , his wife replied and left his presence. Meanwhile in King Daniels kingdom: guards!!! He yelled. Yes your majesty replied one of his guards. Go call me princess Maya and tell her to see me immediately in my chamber . Yes your majesty replied the guard who left hurriedly to get the princess. Guard Knocks on the princess ? door..who’s there !! Shouted the princess. It is i your fathers guard , he has requested to see you immediately in his chamber. I shall be there now you may leave , the princess dismissed him. Princess Maya went to see her father. Father she said: you requested to see me . King Daniels calm but enraged said why oh why he lamented, my daughter why are you doing this to me . Why have you fallen for my enemy’s son why!!! He yelled. But father please understand that I love Zeus so much and I don’t want to marry no other guy except him father please understand, she pleaded. King Daniels yelled never will I allow you to be with him never!!! Now listen to me stay away from him and his household. You know his father was responsible for your mother’s death. Maya my dear I want the best for you as a father, I will never let you go into the lions den. After your mom died I had no one but you , I had to take care of you all by myself Maya, I do love you my dear child so listen to your father. ? With tears in Mayas eyes she reluctantly agreed to obey her dad but she knew deep inside her heart she will not stop seeing Zeus. Meanwhile at King Lebanon’s kingdom: Nahum!!! He called out to his army commander. Ye..sss your highness, Nahum replied with trembling voice. Listen to me carefully he warned , we will go to war against King Daniels kingdom if he doesn’t keep his unworthy daughter away from my son . But Nahum replied in ? fear, but your highness king Daniels army has skilled soldiers who win every war although we are of same figures. He said without looking into the kings ? eyes. Shut up you fool!!!! He yelled and banged his fist on the table . How dare you tell me whom to fight , and the type of savage soldiers he has , he snarled at him. But but your highness, Nahum started shakily. Silence!!!!!!!! The king ordered. Am the king here and you do as you are told , if you dare challenge me then you will have your head on the table tonight!! The king warned. Yesss your highness, Nahum replied. Now go get me my son and tell him to meet me here in the throne room immediately. King Lebanon ordered. Yesss your highness, Nahum replied and left. King Lebanon thought to himself aloud, You are going down king Daniels, you and your entire kingdom will be wiped out by my son and I will now die in peace but first I would like to see the look on your face when you lose everything. He smirked evilly ?. Zeus entered the throne room aware of what was going on since his mom has already gist him on everything. Dad, you have requested to see me . Zeus said. King Lebanon replied: yes son , I have requested for your presence now because I want as to discuss something important. I know of your relationship with that good for nothing girl whom you are seeing. You are very well aware that her family and ours do not click and yet you allowed yourself to fall in love with her.? So my dear son it’s either you stop seeing her or we will wage war against their kingdom. Zeus replied calmly, father I do know we are mortal enemies, I also no king Daniels blames you for the loss of his wife Queen Leah. But father Princess Maya and I love each other and we don’t care about the rebellion between the two of you. Please allow us to leave our lives peacefully. You all should learn to forgive each other and let the past go and embrace the future, please father. As the future king to your throne I need to rule wisely and let peace prevail. King Lebanon not believing his ? ears yelled at his son: shut up you brat, you are supposed to take after me and be like me , don’t you stand there altering nonsense as if you are without training. And bare in mind I am still your king and you dare not disobey me, do as you are instructed to do, he warned!! Yesss father , Prince Zeus replied but knew deep down he will continue seeing Princess Maya even tho their parents resent it. It’s been a week since all the drama in both kingdoms died down, Prince Zeus continued seeing Princess Maya through a secret passage connecting the two kingdoms together. Their love grew stronger despite all the resentment from their parents. Now one night when Zeus was up to see Maya in their secret meeting place, unknown to him his mother Queen Raya spotted him leaving through the back door so she quietly followed him, she was wondering what his son was up to at this time of the night so she followed silently and realized there was a secret passage connecting both kingdoms together. Still in surprise she continued to follow her son through the dark passage with a reasonable distance in order not to raise any suspicions from the son that he was being followed. Finally prince Zeus got to the hideout and met princess Maya already there. When Maya saw him she happily went to hug him. I knew you would come she said. Why would I miss seeing you Maya, you know the only person I want to be with is you. My father is trying to set me up with numerous ladies in our kingdom but to no avail, I profusely refuse to marry anyone of them, my heart belongs to you my dear. Said Zeus assuring . Well it turns out my dad is also doing the same thing to me lamented Maya in frustration. Why can’t they allow us to live our lives together she yelled out of frustration. Ssssh be quite my dear, you are talking too loudly, what if someone hears us. Maya simply shrugged and said: I don’t think anyone know this place so no one would hear us, but I will minimize my voice in case we are being followed.she said. Meanwhile Queen Raya stood in amazement as she listened to the conversation that ensued between her son and Maya. She was amazed to see her son break all rules in order to be with the love of his life. She quietly but quickly left and returned to the palace, she made sure she was not noticed by anyone before retiring into her chamber. Now Zeus unaware of the fact that his mom now knows about his secrecy retired to the palace after meeting Maya and went straight into his chamber as quickly as possible to prevent anyone from spotting him. Now it is day break and the royal families are having their breakfast peacefully, then Queen Raya requested that the king held a meeting in his throne room because she had something to say, she further requested for her son’s presence too. King Lebanon replied: woman if you know you are going to waste our time over silly issues you might as well say what’s bothering you here and let’s get it over with now. Because my throne room is for serious matters and not a place for women. Of course it’s an important issue said Queen Raya, it might be on interest to you since it has to do with the well being of our son and the future heir to your throne. Okay then, the king agreed with interest, at noon a meeting will be held in the throne room to discuss the matter . I hope it will be something to help me wage war against king Daniels kingdom and completely destroy him. He smirked. All this while Prince Zeus sat in deep thought wondering what was so important his mom wanted to say that made his dad call for a meeting. He knew the throne room was a place for discussing very serious matters and no place for jokes which means whatever information his mom had to give is very serious and important. This troubled him greatly. So he excuse himself and went for a walk. Still in thought: I wonder if anyone has seen me while I sneak out every night to see Maya and has told mom about it. Hmm ? I don’t think that is possible since I make sure I am not seen before leaving the palace. I am so confused right now, what could mom what to talk about so importantly she assured dad with confidence it will affect my future. Gosh I hope I knew what it is. Now all I can do is wait till noon and find out what mom has to tell dad concerning my future. He signed in frustration, but am 28 and Maya is 25 and we are old enough to take decisions for ourselves. Why all this problems. He decided to let the matter rest and wait till it’s time for the meeting. Soon it was noon and the royal family settled for their lunch, soon after the lunch they were all asked by their king to prepare for the family meeting which was being held in the kings throne room. Prince Zeus went to his chamber to prepare himself. Finally they all assembled in the throne room, and king Lebanon not wasting much time quickly asked his wife what the important matter was. Queen Raya : My king, thanks for allowing us to have this serious and important meeting to discuss the future of our son and the future of this kingdom. U may speak, I don’t have much time to spare replied the king. Well the matter is that, she paused; my king you we were once young and although our marriage was arranged by our parents , ours relationship is not based on love . But we are so lucky to have a son, our future heir to our throne who has now discovered love and it’s true meaning. And is willing to take over from us someday and rule this kingdom with love and peace so my king why don’t you allow our son to get married with whomever he chooses. Please your highness I know the kind of love and affection they have for each other is real and passionate. Please reconsider your decision please, Queen Raya pleads. Prince Zeus only sat and smiled at the words of his beloved mom. At first he was really tormented by the thoughts of what was going to happen and what will be his fate if things get worst but now he was happy that his mom is on his side . King Lebanon just remained silent for some minutes, one could see he was pondering on what to say to trap both his wife and his son to agree to his decision without complaining. Then an idea hit him, and he replied calmly but evilly?. Okay my beautiful wife I have heard all what you have said but tell me something ; u see our parents set our marriage up without we not knowing each other. But we ended up getting married and I have treated you like a queen, you have servant who bath and take good care of you, even after our parents died I could have still married any lady since our marriage was not based on love , I even gave u a son in addition. What am trying to say is that it doesn’t take love to rule or have a good family like ours . It is by hardworking skills and disciplined rules or else there will be no respect for the royal household. Citizens need to tremble with fear when summoned before the king and his royals. How did hell did you think I gained all that? Is it by ruling with love ? Haha he laughed sarcastically and smirked.? There is no way our family will ever bond with king Daniels family .. never he yelled!!!! Then he begins to ? cough uncontrollably. His wife rushes to him: my king you no you are not too well so please come let’s go into your chamber so the royal doctor can attend to you, you need not to stress yourself. Come let’s go. The king was too weak to reply so he allowed his wife and son to take him to his chamber after which the royal doctor was summoned and he quickly attended to him. He then said the kings condition was getting worse and he needs not to yell or argue and must take his medication seriously and have good rest. The Queen and Prince thanked the royal doctor as he departed. Meanwhile at king Daniels kingdom, some rebels have been caught stealing the people’s goods , they sneak in every night and visit people’s shops and still valuable items which they sell in the day to customers who come to purchase their goods. So they have been summoned before the king and his daughter. King Daniels(sternly): how did you rebels enter my kingdom without my soldiers notice and why do you steal from my people? Are you aware when you are caught you will be punished severely? He asked the thieves. The thieves couldn’t meet the kings gaze so they bowed their head him shame and replied your majesty, we are not rebels but mere people in this kingdom who live in the eastern side of the woods. We come here to make a living and earn money to feed our dying families. You didn’t tend to steal your majesty, but when we beg people for food they refuse to give us. So does that give you the right to steal, stealing is an offense and you could have come to me and told me of your predicament but instead you decided to do things your own way so the penalty for such a crime is death. But father, princess Maya intervened please reconsider the punishment for them; remember they told you they have families who depend on them so I suggest they work on our farm and on the farms of the families they have looted their goods for some time and then we can give them something to return home with to provide for their families. The king immediately agreed since his daughter made so much sense. Then finally he replied to the thieves; you have all heard my daughter’s judgement so from now on you will start work here and for all those you have stolen from and later we will help you. My daughter is very merciful and passionate so we are helping you later because you have families who depend on you. Thank you so much your majesty the thieves said. Don’t thank me thank my daughter, the future Queen to my kingdom. Thank your our generous princess. Guards!!! The king yelled. Take them away he ordered. Meanwhile prince Zeus continues to see princess Maya through their secret passage. They chatted , laugh , dine and have fun. They were excited to be in each other’s arms. Later Princess Maya started feeling unwell, she lost appetite for food and vomited profusely, she then discovered she was pregnant. She was filled with happiness and sadness at the same time. She was happy is going to be a mom but sad because they can’t be together so she decided to meet Prince Zeus that night and inform him. At night when she was sneaking out , unlucky for her her father was standing on the balcony, he was having sleepless nights so he came out for fresh air. He spotted his daughter sneaking out and decided to follow her. He then followed quietly behind her, Princess Maya got to the hideout and found prince Zeus already there. She run to hug him with tears of joy. Why are you crying, prince Zeus asked with concern in his voice. I have been ill recently and I found out am pregnant. The prince was so happy. But then the princess continues; we cants be together to raise our child and if our parents find out there will be a Great War between our two kingdoms. All this while king Daniels was nearby ears dropping on their conversation. He was shocked ? as he listened to what was going on. So this means his daughter has been seeing his enemy’s son and now she is pregnant. He then retreated sadly and went back to the palace. Prince Zeus and princess Maya continues discussing ways and solutions to flee from the palace before their parents could discover the truth. Meanwhile King Daniels was seen sitting in his couch and in deep thought. He now knew what was going on and his daughter has deceived him greatly. How can she allow herself to get pregnant by that boy. He then decided to comfront his daughter about it the next day. He then retired to bed. The prince and princess dispersed and went to their various homes sneaking quietly into their chambers unaware that someone knows of their secret.
