Lilly - Mate

Lilly had not got much sleep, she had spent most of the night trying to understand all the information Luca had told her. So, they knew about her, and they knew about her mother but who were they? The vampires? Why were they trying to make more like her and why was she different? Was her mother a vampire? Where is she? She was now part of three different worlds humans, vampires, and werewolves. Vampires and werewolves were enemies, so she knew this couldn't go well. Was that was the reason Mitch and Jackson, and the wolves didn't come to the party because of the vampires?

Getting ready for the day was painful Lilly was tired, and she didn't want to look at the mess from the party, cups, cans, and bottles like confetti all over the house. She would have to clean it up before Ray got home that night, thankfully he wasn't back until late there was time.

As she arrived onto campus she couldn't help but notice all the well-built and beautiful creatures moving between the peoples. Wolves. The campus was full of teenage wolves, the humans seemed happy that them all chatted to their new lecture buddies. What was going on? She moved through the people, and wolves some of them smiled as she passed, but some wolves frowned visibly sniffing air. She had never seen so many wolves before, she was nervous as she knew like Dark Eyes and Dash wolves could be unpredictable. She could feel Dark Eyes was with her, she was comfortable and knew they could handle any situation.

A familiar scent filled her nose she was trying to find Mitch, but she came across Cami, Cami was talking to a couple of human males until she met eyes with Lilly and excused herself. She bounded over to Lilly grinning and hugged her. At first Lilly was a little taken back but hugged Cami she whispered to her.

“What's going on? Why are there so many wolves here?"

A guilty expression crossed Cami's face before she smirked, "Well you see, I might have mentioned to a few people who told a few more that Mitch found his mate here and well Suddenly, everyone wants to learn and maybe find their mate of course! Everyone is talking about you, Mitch's dad Beta Darias cant wait to meet you”

As Cami was talking Lilly couldn't help but notice Cami kept looking around Lilly's neck and shoulder. What was she looking at? Lilly responded trying to get Cami to actually make eye contact with her. “ Ok so now the whole pack is attending the university? Great cant wait to meet everyone.”

That was far from the truth she didn't want to meet everyone until her and Mitch had their story clear. Lilly knew it was for her safety that Mitch lied but what harm would it cause if they knew she was different? She thought it best however not to tell Mitch about the vampires unless he brought it up, she didn't know much except were wolves and vampires didn't mix. She said a quick goodbye to Cami after finding out some news that Cami was devastated that she had missed the party but as the Alphas from visiting packs were leaving that night they all had to stay on pack territory and be counted for.

Lilly searched again for Mitch, Dark Eyes was restless she is wanted to see Dash again. She finally found him waiting outside her next lecture, he gave her a soft smile, but then pulled her close and kissed her lightly. Lilly returned the kiss as the smell of other pack members filled her nose I guess the kiss was for their benefit.

“Hey beautiful” he whispered softly placing his arm around her shoulder before going into the lecture theater, "sorry I couldn't come to the party”

“Its fine don't worry about it Cami explained, she explained most things actually sometimes it is is hard to keep up”

Mitch chuckled, "yeah that wolf has a big mouth that's for sure, I know we have not had chance to talk much since yesterday, so the reason I declared us mates and lied as then the wolves they can't touch you. As you are mine” his eyes darkened slightly obviously Dash liked that idea as he wiggles his eyebrows at the last remark. “ So if you can keep your golden eyes to yourself, as this is already super complicated, but you should be safe if anything does happen”

Lilly bit her lip a little Mitch was taking on a lot. considering he didn't know her well. A thought pressed at her though " But what if you find your real mate?"

He frowned a little at her question, "Well I'm not planning to right now, she isn't part of my pack as I would have met her already, and we will cross that when or even if she appears”

“So what is my role as your mate then?" It sounded like a silly question, but she wasn't sure, she wanted to play her part in this lie well. There were only humans in this lecture, but she still kept her voice low to a whisper, so not to be overheard by other wolves lurk around outside the room.

Once again Mitch's eyes were swirling from his brown to black he was fighting to keep Dash down as he thought of his answer. Dash was excited, Dark Eyes wanted out to, but she was pacing.

“ Well if we were truly makes our attraction to each other would be uncontrollable, I would be irresistible to you, and you to me. When it was right for both of us I would mark you- " he stopped speaking it was like he had been cut off. He was just staring at her his eyes nearly fully black, she went to speak but found she couldn't as Dark Eyes had taken over. The two wolves obviously couldn't help themselves they enjoyed each others company it was sweet really.

Dash's voice was husky as his eyes never left those of Dark Eyes " Your meant to be keeping a low profile”

Dark Eyes smirked " I know, but I wanted to see you” she leaned in close and wrapped her arms around him hugging him burying her head into his neck. His scent was nice it was comforting.

Dash of course pulled her closer damn if they were not on a room full of people he would have pulled her onto his lap. But they were not alone the lecturer coughed at the front of the room, obviously they had been noticed. Dash raised his hand to apologize and kissed Dark eyes cheek. “It seems we have an audience, you best take a step back I don't want anyone seeing those beautiful eyes of yours.”

Dark eyes sighed but let Lilly have back control. She didn't look very impressed she hated when Dark Eyes just took over it was like losing control. Lilly looked at Mitches brown eyes, and she smirked a little " you tell me about self-control as soon as Dash shows his head, Dark Eyes makes her appearance that isn't helping me you know” she nudged her shoulder into his a little.

The lecture finished Lilly had another one in the afternoon, then she had to get to home to clean the house before Ray comes home.

Lilly walked around campus holding Mitch's hand they had a lot. of people smiling at them humans and wolves. It was comfortable walking with Mitch it made her feel comfortable and safe. The future was so uncertain now, but she was hoping it wouldn't be too difficult, not to complicated. She bit her lip deep in thought of if she should tell Mitch about Luca but her thoughts were quickly distracted as Jackson came towards them carrying three plates if food. He placed them down on the tables " hello love birds sit, eat let's catch up”

They all started to eat, Lilly picked at the fruit Jackson picked out for her. They started talking pack business it was like as if now they were out of pack territory the wolves could talk freely. They didn't speak out loud however,, as there were still other pack members around.

Jackson : “So Alpha Kai has left this morning with the Howler pack as while there Alpha was with us, three females were taken.”

Mitch : “Its strange it's just females that are going missing. Do we know who is behind it?"

Jackson: " well after the pack meeting it seems to be happening around the world different females going missing. It's only now that everyone is talking that they noticed there is a pattern”

Lilly: " Why would someone want females?"

Jackson: " we don't know it could be to increase the rough population maybe as they are increasing but it's just strange.”

Mitch looked at Lilly a little concerned " that's why I was nervous about you because your different and of course we think your great but given these times not everyone will feel the same way. I do think you need the protection of the pack though.”

Lilly moved back a little a frown on her face " I have lived my whole life with Ray, I have never got in trouble yet. I can't leave him he is my Dad I cany abandon him putting all his hard work bringing me up to waste I couldnt just leave. He wouldn't accept I'm going to live with some else he would want to know why, an our world isnt safe for him I guess"

Jackson leaned forward a little " you know as his mate right you are meant to join our pack its tradition. Dont you feel it inside dont you want to be with Mitch"

Lilly raise an eye brow looking between the brothers she felt backed into a corner " Yes of course I want to be with him... he is my mate. But everything is just happening so fast .. so I'm staying with Dad"

She stood up moving herself from the table, lilly could see the worried look on Mitchs face as he stood up to. She had decided there and then just to go straight home and tidy the house. "I'm just going to go home and get things sorted."

"Can I come help?" Mitch didnt want her to leave cross, and the only reason he wanted to attend the university was to be around Lilly. They said there goodbyes to Jackson and quickly made there way off campus, it was a quiet awkward walk home. Lilly felt backed into a corner there was so many expectations as Mitchs mate and she wasnt even his actual mate, an it wasnt something they could just take back without more consequences.

They were nearly home by the time her thinking got the better of her she turned to him and basically shouted at him

"I didnt ask for any of this you know"

He took a step back for her a little her aura just kicked up a notch dominates was radiating off her "didnt ask for what? If your talking about me calling us mates well that was for your own protection. Your different, that makes you a threat and I dont know how they will react so I'm sorry for putting you with a bit of protection"

" I don't need your protection"

Mitch rubbed his head a little trying not to lose his temper with her attitude. " look let's just get this house sorted then we can just relax and talk on"

Lilly walked into the house waving her hand at Mitch dismisantly, she grabbed a bag and starting shoving things in. The door then opened and closed, but she didnt hear Mitchs footsteps she moved her head so she could see the door. A large grey wolf with a white muzzle and underbelly greeted her his black eyes looked at her as he bounded over, the wolf jumped placing both front paws on her shoulders licking her face.

Lilly laughed trying to push the large male off " Alright alright just stop you big puppy".

The wolves tale waged he was happy with himself that she wasnt mad with him anymore.

"That was a cheap trick sending Dash you know, you knew Dark Eyes would press me into not being cross" Lilly smirked filling another bag.

Mitchs voice spoke through mind link as he was in his wolf form. " I know I know he is alot cuter then I am, fancy going outside to get my clothes for me so I can change back"

Lilly looked shocked at him "you were naked outside? You know I have neighbor's right ?" She laughed heading outside seeing his clothes in a pile she picked them up " you totally could have been seen" as she walked back in Mitch had changed and was standing in all his glory. Lilly covered her eyes quickly "Really... couldnt you wait? "

He chucked and took the clothes from her, he wasnt embarrassed by his body. Maybe it was a wolf thing, there was also something satisfying to make her blush. "Hey we are mates after all".

Lilly looked through her fingers but then closed her eyes again quickly "Dont even play that game put some clothes on boy" however she couldnt deny she was very attracted to him. She listened closely as he walked around the room she knew he was behind her. She could feel his breath by her neck she shivered a little and bit her lip she felt her body lean back into him, she felt his chest rumble against her back as he realised a growl from his chest.

His voice was tense and low "Dash is beside himself right now"

Her voice was playful " well then maybe you should put some clothes on"

"Dash is reluctant" Mitch matched her playful tone.

It was now her turn to growl a little. "Clothes on... now" the authority in her voice was easy to hear. As requested she heard him shuffling around putting his clothes back on. She finally turned back around a smirk on her face as she looked him over.

" do you know you do that?" He tilted her head looking at her with envy.

"Do what?"

"Give orders"

"You mean be bossy?"

"No I mean you tell me to do something and i want to do it. I only get that feeling with -" he stopped rubbing his head again awkwardly he wasnt sure if he was making a big deal out of nothing.

"When else do you get that feeling, tell me?"

"When the Alpha gives me a order dont get me wrong with you it's not as strong but I feel like it needs to be done"

Lilly grinned " oooo Alpha Lilly" she laughed a little bit walking towards him. She moved closer to him and winked "I can make you do anything hey"

He chuckled grabbing a bag to fill avoiding her eyes " trust me I wont need asking twice"

The house was quickly tidy as they got it sorted between them. They then chose to order takeaway, Mitch seemed to order food enough for the whole pack. When Lilly came back with the food Mitch had lit a candle he had found on the side and placed it in the middle of the table and placed out knives and forks. The smell of vanilla cupcake filled the air. "Oh we are having a candle lit take away how kind of you good sir."

They spent the rest of the evening eating and talking they both laughed alot. They truly did enjoy each others company it was nice and natural. It was dark now and Mitch was getting ready to go Ray would be home any moment now.

"Well my lady thank you very much for your company and feeding me" he smirked and walked over to her pulling her into a hug, she hugged him back burying her head into his neck.

"It was my pleasure Mitch maybe we can do it again some time" she teased. She then looked at him and his eyes met hers he glanced down to her lips before kissing her lightly. She felt herself kissing him back passiatly her heart rate increased as her hands went into his hair. She wanted him. However the moment was cut short by a car pulling up outside they broke apart a little breathless. They smirked at each other before walking outside, Mitch quickened his pace a little seeing the car. Ray's eyes burned into the boy walking down the path he opened his door quickly.

"Hey Lils who is this?" Ray eyes narrowed looking at Mitch. It made Lilly chuckle a little, Ray was doing his best to be intimidating.

"Dad this is Mitch, Mitch this is my Dad" she smiled between them both.

"Large looking fella hey, play rugby or something?" Of course Rays go to would be sports.

"No sir, but it's something I can look into that's for sure it's nice to meet you" Mitch was a little nervous it seems.

"Why dont you come back in, would be nice to get to know some of Lils friends. Lils I did clean my gun after that fishing trip didn't I?" Here we go.

"Yes Dad"

"Its in the house right?"

"Of course you know it is be nice"

Ray held his hands up " I have no idea what you mean Lils, so Mitch how about a chat"

Mitch stepped back a little and shook his head " No sir I have to go I'm sorry maybe another time". He quickly walked away.

Ray raised his eye brow to Lilly. She smirked heading inside.
