960 Words
Lilly tapped her pen on the desk, not long now until the last seminar of the day was over. She pushed her long black hair out of her face as she tried to read the last of her text book. She was seventeen a well-developed person with long legs, and a curvy figure, she was into fitness but knew how to dress to show off her assets but still kept a grace not to slutty. She had bright blue eyes which drew peoples attention she would flutter her lashes to bring back peoples attention from her chest. She was flawless which gave her a lot of Male and female attention, must be something in her genes.  Today, she had fit herself into blue Jean's, black boots and a purple and gray v neck top which showed her cleavage ever so slightly. She was a popular girl, very social, she would go out with her friends, she loved to dance the night away.  Her passion was reading, she was a hopeless romantic who loved nothing more than getting lost in worlds that people created within their books, it was an escape from her life. She loved fantasy the idea there was something else out there in the world, she always used to think if this was real she would be one of them girls the magical creature could approach, and she would be cool with it. These things of course didn't happen because they were not real. She studied English literature with the hope to carry on her studies to become a teacher.  The seminar was over she packed her things. A few of the girls said there Goodbye they would see Lilly on Monday for her eighteenth birthday. Her birthday was actually Saturday but her dad wanted to take her on a fishing trip, she didn't mind it made him happy. She had a happy childhood with her dad, just him and her she had been brought up watching sports, fishing trips, football matches. He had tried his best when it comes to the girly stuff but talking to him about it always made him uncomfortable. She smirked as she remembered coming on her first period  “ It's ok Lil nothing to panic about, it's just what happens your going to get cross and erm want to eat junk, but it's all going to be ok! I will drive you to the shop you can go in ... on your own and get some pad things.” Her father's voice played in her head he did good. When she asked about her mother he had always said “The storks brought you”, she never truly understood what he meant, but he was all she needed. He was the typical protective farther advising her how to dress with a “your not going out like that."  He wasn't to consuming as he knew Lilly could handle herself many years of self defense classes seen to that. She had excelled as she was athletic and fast so, her father was satisfied his daughter could go about her business she wasn't a little girl any more nearly eighteen.  University wasn't to far from home it had taken Lilly over half an hour, but she didn't mind the walk. She lived outside of town it was less busy, fewer cars it was more quiet. She walked past many houses to get to her own she walked up to the porch of her house and opened the door kicked off her boots and walked inside.  “Dad are you home? Lilly shouted putting her bag on the sofa. A noise came from upstairs a crashing sound, Lilly raised an eyebrow her heartbeat a little faster as no one answered. Maybe it wasn't her father maybe it was someone else, maybe it was someone who had broken in. Someone came down the stairs, it was hard to see with the rods, and bags they had piled up in their arms. Lily's recognized the familiar frame of her father he was a small man with sandy hair very different to her own. “Hey Lils, remind me the next time, I pack my fishing gear away not to put it all over the house, so I can't find it ok" Lilly laughed as she walked over taking some bags off him. “ Well you know if you gave everything a home it wouldn't be hard to find would it hmm” she turned her head to the side. Her father just waved his hands at her making a mimic sound of her words until he had gone through to the kitchen to put the bags on the table.  “Are we still on for tomorrow? Birthday fishing”  “ yeah sure Dad sounds good as long as I can still have a few friends over Monday.” “ Yes a small gathering of friends, no boys no calling it a party. Just a small gathering of GIRL friends” He put extra effort in to make sure she heard the last few words.  She spent the rest of the evening in her comfy house clothes after going for a run like she did every evening. She had to otherwise she felt restless and couldn't sleep very well, she watched the football game with her dad then took herself off to her room. She played on her phone for a short while scrolling through social media, the same boring s**t. She picked up one of her favorite books about the normal girl who fell in love with a shiny vampire. If only. Lilly didn't have a boyfriend there had been boys but no one that took her fancy. No one her father would have approved of.
