Chapter 14

CHAPTER FOURTEEN

Every demon present kept silent as Lucifer rebuked them, “that’s a nice suggestion Deamon, but it’s a last option when we’ve tried every other option available” Lucifer said turning to him, “options available? Do we have other options?” Reckon asked making Lucifer give a cunning smile.

  While in the golfing field, Rowland exhaled after breathing in the field’s air, “it’s been awhile since I came here” he said, “how many years has it been?” Raphael asked, “you’re asking me? When you know everything” Rowland replied with a smile, “I don’t know everything Rowland, only what is shared to us” Raphael said as he hit the golf ball and they both watched as it flew across into a hole at the other side of the field, “wow! I think you should enroll for the upcoming golf competition” Rowland suggested, “you think so?” The angel asked, “Yes, you’ll get us a cash reward with this your strength and accuracy” Rowland replied, “don’t you think it’s cheating?” The angel asked.

 “Well… It’s not actually cheating” Rowland stuttered, “Angel against humans?” Raphael asked, “Ehmm”, “we all know whose going to win, Rowland, so it’s cheating and I won’t like to participate” with that he gave the golf stick to a golf attendant close by and left for the golf cart with Rowland following suit.

   “I really didn’t feel fine these days, but after this little sport, I’m relaxed” Rowland said smiling as he stretched himself, “I’m glad you feel that way” Raphael replied.

   Aza and Dinia laid on the bed, in each other’s arms. “You know, I never knew how pleasurable s*x was. No wonder humans can’t hold themselves until marriage.” Dinia said as she rubbed Aza’s hairy chest. “it’s really funny you know, we are here having s*x when we know how much trouble we’re in”, Aza replied smiling sadly. “It shouldn’t still stop us from having the fun of our human lives” Dinia said trying to comfort Aza.

Well this statement made him smile cheerfully as he leaned forward and gave her a kiss on the lips. Suddenly a warm hole opened and two pair of hands dragged Dinia into it. Aza panicked as he ran out of the room shouting Elias name, but he wasn’t around. Meanwhile Elias sat in his office looking over a document when Aza appeared besides him, “Aza!” He exclaimed.

 “Dinia has been dragged to hell” Aza said with anger and grief in his voice, “how did that happen?” Elias asked in surprise, “a warm hole opened and two demons dragged her into it” Aza answered, “Aza calm down, let’s not be quick to judge, how do you know she was dragged to hell?” Elias asked, “two demons? Where else must they have taken her to” Aza replied, “I know they did” he added, stamping his hands on the desk. “Let’s think first, if she was dragged to hell, don’t you think it’s a trap? To lure us to hell?” “Elias! If that’s a trap, then it got me because I’m falling into it”, “Aza you know you aren’t the most powerful demon in hell, you can’t win and even if you are the most powerful demon, you can’t conquer the whole hell, there are too many demons, so?” Elias pointed out, trying to talk sense into Aza.

 “I don’t care, I need to rescue Dinia” Aza said determined, “Aza! Think like a supernatural, stop thinking like humans, don’t be foolish. Don’t you know she’s a bait for you, and you’re a bait for me… Don’t do this!” Elias advised. “If you don’t help me, I’ll do that by myself” Aza said and walked out through the door, slamming it behind him. Elias shock his head with a sad smile, “he should have disappeared, not walking towards the door and slamming the door” he said to himself.

In Rowland’s house

The two friends sat watching the news, when suddenly Raphael felt an urge; “Your demon friends are about to get into trouble” Raphael spoke to Rowland tapping him , “I think I need to go” he added, “let’s go together” Rowland said, “No! Not this time, it’s urgent and you’ll slow me down” the angel said and before Rowland could utter another word, he felt a soft breeze blow across his face as he was left alone.

   “Sir, your meeting with Inking media has been scheduled to hold now”, Mr. Kim said standing in front of Elias desk, Elias on the other hand kept writing in a file “Okay, hope you’ve gathered the necessary documents to strike up the deal?” Elias asked still writing but there was no response from his secretary.

 “Mr. Kim?” He called still writing yet no answer, “Mr. Kim” he said this time raising his head, just then he found out Mr. Kim with his mouth opened, stood still, Elias looked at his wrist watch and it was still…. Time was paused. He stood up and walked towards his door, opened it and looked across the room, everyone was still, papers falling down, hanged in mid air, coffee bouncing out of its cup was suspended. He turned back to his office and saw Raphael beside his desk, “it’s you” he said, closing the door behind him and walking to his desk. “Aza has gone to hell” Raphael broke the news to him. Elias paused in his step, “what!” He exclaimed, “I have to go now” Elias said, “you can’t go” the angel said, “what? You going to stop me? That’s why you’re here” Elias asked, “yes, you know this is a trap and the devil wants to destroy you, don’t be fooled and stay” the angel suggested, “but Aza” Elias said, “he knew and he made his choice, you can’t help him” Raphael replied.

IN HELL

 Dinia was tied with chains on her legs and hands and also with a collar chain around her neck in a cell. She heard approaching and she swallowed hard, believing she was about to be tortured a third time. She could see the shadow of this being as it stood few centimeters from her cell room. 

The fear on her eyes made tears pour and she could see her eyes trying to holding it all in. “Dinia” she heard her name in a whisper. “This sounds familiar” she thought to herself as she breathed a sigh of relief, opened her eyes and said softly, “Aza”.

Aza who stood just outside the cell room, with his hands holding the metallic bars, “How are you doing?”, “I’m scared, Aza, I’m scared” she said she’s sobbing hard. “I’m here to get you out, don’t you worry” Aza assured as he looked around and tried pulling the bars. “what are you doing?” Dinia asked, “I’m trying to pull this thing off from the ground” Aza replied as he pulled on the bars of the cell.

“You know this is a trap Aza, and you still came.” Dinia said watching him pull the bars with all his strength but it couldn’t break. “You need to go” Dinia said, “I’m not going anywhere!” he replied with tension in his voice as he pulled the bars apart and got into the cell. “For a demon you’re a fool” Dinia said as their eyes locked into each other, “I’m ready to be a fool for you” Aza replied as he held her chains and tried breaking them. “You need to leave Aza while you have the chance”, Dinia advised, “I can’t leave you” Aza said stubbornly, “cut the crap! Aza!” Dinia said in anger, “Don’t be foolish and leave” she continued, “it’s no use if we both are destroyed” she said pulling her chains off from Aza’s hands, “go!” She commanded. 

Just then a clap was heard behind them, coming from outside the cell room. Lucifer and Reckon stood, “very touching I must swear” the devil said, “I nearly cried” he mocked, “now your foolishness will lead to your destruction” he added, “with time Elias will come looking for you both and then I’ll destroy all of you” Lucifer said as he signaled to Reckon who was holding a pair of chains. He went into the cell, held Aza’s hands and got them chained.

“Enjoy each other’s company while it lasts” Lucifer said laughing loudly, “demoms falling in love, it’s very funny” he added as Reckon closed the pulled bars of the cell and they both walked away.

   Meanwhile Elias walked around the room of his office restlessly, talking to himself with folded fists, at one corner was Raphael who stood quietly watching Elias walk and talk to himself, “you need to calm down” the angel finally spoke, “how can I calm down when Aza and Dinia are in hell suffering and expecting me to come to their rescue” the demon replied.

“Come to their rescue? How will you possibly do that? You’ll be surrounded” Raphael pointed out, “do you have a better plan?” Elias asked, “yes I do” Raphael replied him calmly, “so what is it?” Elias asked again, very impatient to hear what Raphael would say. “It’s simple, we just have to wait here and do nothing” Raphael answered. Very disappointed, Elias said, “is that your silly plan? Do nothing?” “What kind of plan is that?” Elias asked angrily as he walked towards the angel but stopped half way, he held a fist as his face turned red and with super speed he ran to the wall hitting it with his fist, shattering that area.

“You just have to calm down Elias, I really don’t have any plan that’s why I can’t help. You know I get directions from God and I can’t d anything of my own will. I believe God’s planning something” Raphael said, “just be calm and wait, help will surely come” the angel added.

Elias couldn’t say anything as he exhaled hardly still facing the broken wall. “Do I have a choice?” He asked the angel. “at this moment you don’t” Raphael answered. “I’ll be going now Elias, you have to fix that broken wall because as soon as I leave time would come back to normal and your secretary here will find that”, pointing at the broken wall, “and ask questions” he added.

Elias nodded his head as he looked around, seeing the pieces of the wall all hanging in mid air. “Can you do me a favor?” he asked, “what’s it?” Raphael asked, “stay here for a while, I need to pick up these pieces”, “sure but you have to be fast. I’ll give you…” Before Raphael could finish talking, Elias had fixed the wall and it was like it never was broken. “Well, I’m not surprised. I wanted to give you just 5 seconds.” “You belittle me Raph” Elias replied with a smile as he headed to his table.

“So you’re leaving earth to the glorious city?” Elias asked, “Yes but I’ll be back shortly” and with this statement, Raphael let out his wings and flew through the roof. Time resumed, “so Sir as I was saying” Mr. Kim said.
