CHAPTER FIFTEEN Meanwhile, Aza and Dinia held each other in their cell as they waited their destruction. “Elias will come for us” Aza said trying to console Dinia, “you think Elias is as stupid as you?” Dinia asked, “he knows it’s a trap to draw him, he wouldn’t risk it” she added, “I know Elias and I trust him, he is going to come” Aza said with confidence in his voice, “let’s hope so but trust me, he wouldn’t come unless he has a better plan” Dinia said as she exhaled looking through the cell bars.  Just then they heard animals growling, “Aza? Did you hear that?” Dinia asked in fear, “the hellhounds has been released” Aza replied. Three lion like animals, each with three heads approached the cell, growling as they came, salivating, with teeth as sharp as newly made swords, smokes puffed out of their noses, their claws long as that of an eagle and their eyes red.  They were restricted by chains around their neck held by a demon named, Holeash. He laughed as he saw the terror in their eyes, “a little torture won’t harm you” he said as he bent and removed the chains from the hellhounds necks and unlocked the cell opening it for them to enter. Aza and Dinia screamed in fear as the beasts descended on them with Holeash laughing wickedly as he watched the beasts tear them.    “Why is he not here yet?” Lucifer asked impatiently, “maybe he’s not coming” Deamon replied, “or maybe he’s planning on something, he’s figured out it’s a trap” Reckon added, “I’m getting impatient, it’s been a long while since I kept the both of them in the cell and using earth time, this should be a month now and Elias is not forth coming unlike him who likes to fight for his friend Aza” Lucifer said as he tapped on the armrest of his throne with his fingers, “I think we should give him a little more time” a demon suggested, “and if he doesn’t come?” Another demon asked, “we destroy the two we have” Lucifer replied crossing his legs. On earth, Elias who was at a garden, seated on one of the benches there, watched as humans played, laughed and held each other. “I still can’t see the reason why God loves you guys so much that he even can’t let you be destroyed. Here I am being used by him to save you and I have no say or choice in his matter. I’m just following the plan even when I never knew” he said to himself giving out a little grin. Just then he saw Rowland holding a young girl as they strolled around the garden, “what’s he doing here?” Elias asked with a puzzled face. He stood up and went to meet him. Rowland on the other hand was having fun with the little girl, she chased him holding a cup of ice cream as they both laughed. Elias came closer, “hey man” he said smiling. “Hey!” Rowland replied not pleased to have Elias ruin their fun. “Good day sir” the young girl greeted as she came closer to Rowland and held his hands. “How are you doing beauty?” Elias asked, “I’m fine thank you” She replied smiling. “Elias meet Rebecca my daughter” Rowland introduced him to her. Elias stretched his hands towards the little girl for a friendly shake, “Hello Rebecca, nice to meet you”. “Thank you” Rebecca replied but didn’t shake his hand. Elias smiled, looked at his stretched hand and then at Rowland who smiled back. “Well, what brings you here?” he asked , withdrawing his hand and inserting it into his pocket. “Today’s children’s day and as you can see the whole park is full of families with kids” Rowland replied. “Oh I’m sorry I forgot” Elias said, “I’ll leave you guys to your fun okay?” he added smiling as he looked at Rebecca, “go play with daddy”, “thank you” she replied him as she held Rowland’s hand and pulled him forward. “I wish, I was human, I wish I had a family” Elias murmured as he waved goodbye to them then looked away as a tear escaped his right eye. Just then there was an earthquake, screams and confusion filled the once lively park. People running, falling and holding things for support. “what the hell!” Elias exclaimed. The ground shook terribly as street lights fell, branches of trees broke off. “Rowland!” Elias said as he searched for him with his eyes. Rowland was close to a candy shop when the earthquake started, he bent over his daughter who also bent down too as the wooden candy shop broke and the woods feel on him. “Daddy, I’m scared” Rebecca said crying, “you’ll be fine baby” Rowland assured. In that moment, Rowland heard a c***k, he looked up and saw the roof of the shop that was made of metal was about falling. “Oh no!” he lamented as he watched as the roof, slowly began dropping from it’s wooden base.  He removed his face and held his daughter tightly, offering his back to this metallic roof that was about falling on him. He closed his eyes tightly and was expecting a pain to run down his veins. After a minute of waiting, he couldn’t feel anything, neither did he hear the metal fall somewhere else. “So what happened?” He asked himself and then looked up only to see Elias holding the metallic roof and Elias smiling down at him. “Are you both okay?” Elias asked, throwing the roof on the ground. “Yes we’re fine, thank you” Rowland said gratefully as he tapped Elias shoulders. “Daddy the earthquake has stopped” Rebecca said happily, “Yes baby, it has” Rowland replied her. “Let’s go home” he added, “okay daddy” she replied. “And Elias you’re invited” Rowland said with a smile. Elias smiled back and followed them.  In hell, Aza and Dinia sobbed in pain as Holeash took the hellhounds out of the cell. Now this was the sixth time the hellhounds was used to torment them. “Next time you won’t mess with the devil” he said leading the beasts out. “It’s either now or never Elias” Aza said sobbing, “whatever you’re planning, please be quick” he said while holding Dinia, “he’ll come I promise” he consoled. “Thank you for saving us” Rowland said pouring the content of wine in a glass cup Elias was holding as he sat at the dinning table. Rebecca was sitting just opposite him eating slowly and watching the two adults. “It’s okay my dear friend. Now I knew why I was at that park that very moment you were there” Elias answered smiling as he drank from the cup. Rowland was sitting this time, holding his cutleries in his hands, “and I’m grateful you accepted to come over for dinner in as much as I’ve been avoiding you lately”. “it’s okay Rowland. It’s nothing” Elias said as he watched Rebecca drink her fruit juice. “But you hide something from me” he added Following his eyes, Rowland understood what he meant, he nodded before saying, “Well, you don’t have to know everything about me and since Rose died, she has been my comfort”. “I understand your point. I don’t even know you had a child” Elias replied, “well I’m happy for you” he added, “thank you” was the reply he got from Rowland
