Chapter Five

CHAPTER FIVE

   Meanwhile Elias was having his bath when he heard a whooshing sound and a stumbling of an object followed by a cry of pain, “Aza!” Elias exclaimed as he ran out of the bathroom with his towel around his waist. Finding Aza on the ground with the side lamp on the ground broken, “what happened?” Elias asked going over to Aza who was bleeding, “Reckon…. Reckon” Aza said trying to control his heartbeat. “Reckon did this to you?” Elias asked with anger whaling up in him, Aza didn’t answer as he laid on the ground, “you know, if I was mortal I would have died from this fight” Aza said laughing then coughing hard, “hold yojr breath Aza, immortals kill immortals so you can still die” Elias said, “I need to take you to a hospital”, “ Hospital?” Aza asked laughing again, “Elias I don’t know if this human body had dumbed your senses, I’m not a human even though am in this flesh…. Once I get tested what will you think will be the reactions of the doctors finding out I’m no human? Common Elias use your eighth sense…. Use your demon sense” Aza said standing up, “All I need is to get a bath and rest a little” Aza said heading to the bathroom.

   Anger boiled in Elias soul as he made a fist and fumed, “Reckon you really want me to bring forth my powers… I will” he said as he left the room. 

   “Reckon why did you engage with a fight with Aza?” Lucifer asked, “My Lord he trespassed” Reckon replied, “Did I tell you I didn’t know!” Lucifer yelled at Reckon who trembled, “I knew and you engaged a lower demon to a fight? Are you out of your mind!” Lucifer yelled more, “I’m sorry my lord” Reckon apologized, “You don’t need to because my wrath is upon you, you couldn’t even wait for Aza to teleport here, you fought him in the Time-space continuum and broken a barrier. You broke the rule” Lucifer said raising his voice, Reckon knelt down begging, “I show no mercy” Lucifer said turning his back to him, “….Your powers will be stripped from you for a day” Lucifer passed his judgement and left Reckon who bowed his head. 

   Reckon wandered in the streets of Los Angeles (LA) kicking an empty can of soft drink talking to himself. “I can’t see the reason I have to be humiliated by lord Lucifer like this. I always do his bidding, I’m the most loyal of all demons and all I ever want is to please him but I get this as a reward?” He scoffs as he kicked the can hard as it flew over a wired fence in front of him. 

 Meanwhile Elias who was standing in front of the mirror feeling good about himself with a glass of wine in his hands, “You really look good” Lucifer said from behind. Elias turned and smiled, “Thanks…” but the smile quickly faded, “…What do you want?” “I’m sure you know what Reckon did to Aza, engaging in a battle in the space time continuum” Lucifer said, “Yes I know and he’s going to pay for it” Elias replied as he dropped the glass on a table beside the mirror, “that’s why am here, to make him pay” Lucifer said with a smile, “You are really the devil now I see why humans dread you…. You sent Reckon to kill someone and Aza prevented that and now you want to pay him for a little mistake?” Elias asked, “I’m paying him for fighting a fellow demon in the space time continuum, a lesser demon….” Lucifer said coming closer to Elias, “… And I want you to do that”, “you really want me to do that?” Elias asked, “Yes off course, you are the offender and the cause of the fight so fix it” Lucifer tapped him on the shoulder chuckling, Elias’ anger rose up and he made a fist, “Where is he?”

    A whooshing sound behind Reckon, “You came to mock me” Reckon said turning backwards to see Elias and was shocked, “Elias!”, “ Yeah it’s me, were you expecting the Devil?” Elias asked smiling wickedly “At the end the Devil will remain the devil and we… His demons will fight ourselves to death to satisfy him” Reckon said, “You should have thought of that before you attacked Aza” Elias replied walking towards Reckon who began walking backwards, “Elias please don’t do this” he begged Elias ran to him but stopped half way, he looked at himself with shock, “You’ve lost your super speed” Reckon said confirming the shock on Elias face, “How… How did this happen?” Elias asked rhetorically, “He took your power from you as well…” Reckon replied with a sad smile, “… I guess he wanted us to fight squarely, flesh to flesh”.

   They heard laughter followed by a series of clap…. LUCIFER!! “You guys are hilarious, what do you take me for? Am the Devil my dear demons and I pay defaulters any way I deem fit but trust me this is fair because both of you are defaulters and to punish the both of you, is by letting the both of you fight each other…. Don’t look at me that way, next time you guys will stay in line with the plan”

    “You know what? I was right, you’re really the devil” Reckon said sadly, “Well… That’s a fact and no one can change it even the Creator” Lucifer replied and vanished. “What’s the essence of fighting each other when we know he planned it” Reckon said facing Elias hoping to change his mind, “It doesn’t stop how much I hate you and as you said, ‘we’re demons’ we take over the master” Elias replied and made a fist, running towards Reckon, who shouted, “Elias wait!!!”
