Chapter 19

CHAPTER NINTEEN

PRESENT DAY

Elias said to himself, “Raphael you better be right about this”, “Common Elias bring what you got or have you grown cold feet already?” the devil mocked. Elias twisted his head and took to steps towards Lucifer. 

Shouts were raised everywhere, hailing their lord as the fight began. Elias charged towards Lucifer, throwing a punch at him, but with quick reflexes Lucifer shifted to the right dodging it. Another punch from Elias and still he missed the target. Each miss punch got a hail from the crowd, “common Elias, is that all you got?” Lucifer asked mockingly.

Elias who was surprised as Lucifer was dodging his punches, threw another at the devil but still missed. “Okay my turn” Lucifer said as he threw a lunch at Elias, getting him at the side. “Ahh!” Elias grinned in pain. Two punches followed, landing on Elias face and side respectively. “Common Elias be a lion” Lucifer mocked. 

This got Elias very irritated as he sent a fist towards the devil’s side which was blocked by his hand and with quick move, he sent another one to Lucifer’s face which got him.

 Silence fell on hell as all the cheering died, Lucifer staggered, trying to regain himself. Elias noticing this, charged towards him, sending several quick punches to his way, getting him.

The demons got shocked with their mouth agape. Lucifer staggering around, looking for an object to hold for support. He grabbed a pillar near by, blinking his eyes twice.

LUCIFER’S POV

“What just happened?” “ how come Elias punches are really hurting me this much. They never have any effect on me”, “is this the angel’s strength Benial talked about?” “The only time I felt this hurt was in heaven during the war and it was from Micheal”. “My sight is blur”, “I cannot loose this fight or I’ll be belittled”

ELIAS' POV

Elias stood watching Lucifer who was still recovering from his punches and he was surprised at himself, “how could my punches have so much effect on the devil?” He asked himself just then he remembered

FLASH BACK

“You have the strength of Micheal” Raphael said to him as they were in the eatery. Rowland had gone to the convenience. “What?” Elias asked calmly, “Yes, that’s why Benial couldn’t have anything on you.” “So I have the strength of Micheal? Wow!” Elias exclaimed as he examined his hands, smiling. 

PRESENT DAY

Elias looked at his fist in awe, “let’s end this here Lucifer” he said looking at the poor being leaning on the pillar for support, “we don’t have to do this” Elias stated, “You will have to fight to the end Elias” Lucifer replied standing and walking slowly towards him, “I don’t want to do this” Elias said moving back, “finish what you started” Lucifer said as he increased his pace

Elias knowing he has to be strong, took a fighting stance and waited for raging Lucifer. This time it was the devil throwing the punches and Elias escaping each. 

This got Lucifer more angry and frustrated as he tried all his best to land a punch on Elias. “Ahhh!” cried the devil as Elias sent a punch to his tummy.

“You need more?” Elias mocked while laughing. This angered Lucifer as he charged towards Elias throwing himself at him but was unlucky as Elias shifted to the side followed by a thud.

Lucifer had fallen.

“You caused your downfall Oh! Great dragon” Elias said to Lucifer who sat on the ground with head bowed. Hell was so silent, all demons all covered their head in shame, none could utter a word. Elias continued “but you can regain your glory, set your captives free and I will let you rule hell” he said with authority in his tongue. 

“He’s not the lord anymore, you are Elias” Reckon said bowing his knees, the rest followed him. “I’m not the lord, I never was and I won’t be, your lord is Lucifer and I can’t take it away from him. This fight wasn’t about leadership, it was about freedom, for me and my friends and it was for the Earth and a warning from heaven to leave the Earth alone” Elias said walking across hell as he spoke.

“So what I am demanding is the release of the beings held captive and I will be going, with leadership enlisted to you Lucifer”.

“Let them go” Lucifer said to Holeash as he was stood on his feet, “Yes Sir” Holeash answered leaving the area for the cell yard. “I’ll be honest, of a truth you do have the strength of angels but how did you get this unusual strength?” he asked Elias. “It’s a mystery unto me, I can’t answer that” Elias replied.

Meanwhile in the cell yard, behind cell bars, Dinia asked Aza, “what could be happening there? I can’t hear any noise any more”, “I just hope Elias is okay” Aza said worried. “Do you think he would succeed? I mean Lucifer is the strongest being here”, Dinia stated with a worried face. “I just hope he will. I mean Elias didn’t just walk into hell without having a plan or a back up some how” Aza said looking through the cell bars. “You’re right. He really took time to show down here, there’s no how he was on earth not cooking up a plan. I’m sure Raphael would help him” Dinia added.

Just then Holeash appeared with a grin. “It seems like your saviour got the angel’s strength. He won Lucifer in a duel” he said, unlocking the cell door. “How? How did he do that?” Aza asked. “I would have asked him if I was close to him but right now I have to just take it as a mystery but you can find out for yourself for now I am ordered to set you free” Holeash answered

“Isn’t a duel done for leadership? Elias should rule hell now” Dinia asked, “well that was not the condition for the duel” Holeash answered unchaining them. “Now you can go. He’s waiting for you at the gate”.
