CHAPTER THIRTY-TWO
“When last did you train?” Aza asked almost laughing, Reckon couldn’t believe what he was experiencing. Aza his superior could slip away so effortlessly whenever he sent a punch his way. “This is unusual” he said to himself still trying to land a punch at Aza.
“I’ll wear him out” Aza thought as he kept his defensive mode, “he will soon get tired “ he added as he saw the frustration on the Reckon’s face. “I have to wait for the right time to attack”.
Meanwhile Elias fell, landing his back the hood of a car, smashing the windscreen and side mirrors. With super speed, Lucifer ran and was over Elias who was still lying on the car, “this is for the humiliation you caused me in hell” he said, sending punches at Elias who grunted on receiving each. “You know, you should have obeyed me and this won’t have happened” he said lifting Elias by the neck with his left hand, “you rebelled against me Elias”, “you were my favorite subject” the devil added before he threw Elias on the ground.
“You don’t know what you are messing with Lucifer” Elias said slowly standing from the ground, “if only you knew, you won’t come out here”. “what is that supposed to me?” the devil asked, jumping down from the car and walking towards Elias who stepped back. “You seem to forget who you’re talking to and who you dared fight” and with this statement, he ran towards Elias who did the same.
With colliding fist, they both fell in opposite directions. The waves they created due to the collision broke glasses of windows and nearby cars. Lucifer was was surprised as he laid on the floor asked himself, “what just happened? How did our strength match?”
Elias on his part began to smile, “my powers are fully back!” He proclaimed a loud, standing up immediately. He moved his head side ways , making cracking sounds, he was ready now for the devil and with a fighting stance he said, “Stand up and let’s finish this”.
At Rowland’s house, He walked restlessly around the room, wondering why the fight was taking this long. He didn’t have an idea on where the fight was taking place and this got him more worried, “should I call him?” “No, he would come when it’s over”, “what if he needs help?”, “Raphael instructed me not to step out”, “Where is it taking place?” “if my guess is correct, it should be at Elias’ house”, “I think I should check it out”. These thoughts played in his head and he made his decision, “I’ll check Elias’ house” he said.
Rebecca was still asleep, he carried her to her room before locking the door behind him, “it’s almost 12 noon. It should be over” he said to himself leaving for Elias’ house.
Now, Elias was throwing punches, all hitting the devil at his sides. The last one was an uppercut that threw him to the ground, groaning in pains, holding his head. “How do you like that huh?” Elias asked waiting for him to get to his feet.
Meanwhile, Reckon was getting the beating of his existence, receiving punches and kicks from his opponent, Aza. “This… is… for… all… the… pains… you’ve … caused me” he said each words with a punch following. Reckon couldn’t slip away in anyone, and he murmured to himself as he laid on the ground, “this can’t be happening” trying to get to his feet.
Dinia on her part was done with the demons she was fighting with, as they laid on the floor lifeless. She exhaled, smiling to herself as she looked around, noticing the number she had fought. “This was fun” she said, turning towards Aza’s direction, “You’re left” she said referring to Reckon, “I’m coming baby” she ended moving towards his direction.
From inside his car, Rowland noticed some bodies in front and his friends who were still fighting. He stopped his car and stepped out. He looked behind him and noticed how people walked around like nothing was happening, “are they not seeing this?” he asked himself. He turned back to the fighting scene and still saw them fighting, “what the hell?” he squeezed his eyes, rubbing his hands on his eyes.
“This is serious” he said as he walked towards a man who was smoking a cigarette close by, “Excuse me sir” he said on getting there. The man nodded his head as a sign of approval for him to go ahead, “please look towards direction for a minute” Rowland requested, pointing towards the direction he wanted him to see. “Yes?” the man asked waiting for a reason he was asked to turn.
“Please did you see anything?” Rowland asked, “anything like what?” the man replied, “some people fighting?” Rowland asked again, “I do not see anyone in a fight, just a quiet house” he answered. “Why did you ask?” the man replied, squeezing his eyes trying to see what Rowland was talking about. “Nothing sir. I’m sorry for disturbing you” Rowland apologized, leaving the man to continue smoking. “Does this mean only I can see this?” he asked himself, walking forward towards Elias’ house.
Unknown to Rowland, the man who he tapped earlier watched him closely as he walked towards the direction he was shown. Just then Rowland disappeared and the man screamed, taking to his heels.
Elias turned and saw Rowland, “Oh no!” he lamented running towards him. “what are you doing here?” He asked after he got to him, “I came to check on you. This fight I taking too long and I was worried” Rowland replied. “You were told not to come out of your house Rowland” Elias reminded, “here is too dangerous for a human and how are you seeing this fight?” “that is what I was about telling you, I can see what others cannot see, isn’t it great?” Rowland asked feeling excited. “You need to go now!” Elias ordered
