CHAPTER THIRTY-THREE Lucifer who was on the ground, got up and saw Rowland talking to Elias. He smiled and slowly stood on his feet. Aza turned and noticed Rowland, he frowned his face and tapped Dinia after she has thrown Reckon a few feet away from them, “What is Rowland doing here?” he asked. Dinia replied, “this not good”, “oh no, Lucifer is advancing” she said when she saw the movements the devil was making. “We need to stop him” she said and before she could turn towards Aza he had left her side. Reckon groaned, getting up “can you please stay down?” Dinia said angrily as she moved towards him. “Elias watch out!” Aza screamed, getting in the way of Lucifer, blocking a punch from him. Elias turned and saw Aza who stood in front of him as a human shield. Lucifer pulled out his right hand and Aza fell to the ground. In his hand was Aza’s heart at it was beating it’s last. “Oh no” Elias exclaimed rushing towards the body of Aza as it laid cold on the ground. Dinia turned towards the scream, and saw Aza dead on the ground. She rushed to him with supersonic speed, “what happened?” she asked sobbing. Elias who was fuming with rage, stood up and charged at Lucifer, giving him several blows simultaneously. Reckon rushed to help his master but was stopped at Dinia who threw him to the ground, pinned him and fed him with punches. “You killed my best friend” Elias lamented, throwing the devil to the ground, feeding him with punches he sent with all the strength he could muster. “Please let me go” Lucifer pleaded bit this fell on deaf ears as Elias still sent punches his way. With all the strength he could muster, he pushed Elias and disappeared into thin air. Reckon seeing his master had fled, struggled to be freed and upon succeeding, he took to his heels, disappearing too. Dinia exhaling so fast, went to Aza’s cold body, knelt before it, lifted it up and cried. Rowland who was standing all along, planted to get ground by fear and shock could not say anything as he watched everything that unfolded before his eyes. Elias walked towards him, held him by his shirt and lifted him up, “You should have stayed at home and because of you, Aza is dead. He is dead!” he said with fury in his eyes. “I’m sorry, it’s all my fault” Rowland replied sobbing, “please put me down” he pleaded. “Why should I? If you hadn’t com, if you had obeyed instructions he would still be alive.” Elias replied. Rowland began to shock because Elias was holding him so tight, he pleaded again, “Elias, I’m chocking, I can’t breath, Elias please”. Dinia couldn’t say a word as she cried so hard, resting her head on Aza’s body. Elias’ eyes bled with tears as he gently dropped Rowland, who in turn ran out of the scene. “What are going to do?” Dinia asked Elias in the midst of tears, “We’ll take him to the human mortuary” he replied, “and what explanation are we going to give the humans when they ask what happened to him and why his heart is out?” Dinia asked still sobbing.  Elias nodded his head in agreement and replied, “we will bury him ourselves” Elias said sobbing and bending down to touch his friend’s dead body. “I’m so sorry Aza, sorry for being a fool” he spoke wishing Aza could hear him. That same day, in a cemetery, stood Elias and Dinia in black, she was sobbing so hard, leaning on Elias’ shoulders. Elias could do nothing than to hold her and wish he could bring back his friend from the dead. “It’s time to go” Elias said as it was getting late, “you can go ahead, I can’t go… I don’t want to leave Aza alone” she said crying so hard. Rowland walked towards them, and on sighting him, Dinia asked, “what are you doing here?” “Aza was my friend so I have to pay him my last respect” he answered sadly. He looked at Elias whose eyes fasted another direction, not wanting to behold him and walked towards the grave, “I’m sorry I caused your death. I feel ashamed of myself because I caused the ones who cared about me great pain and I know I cannot be forgiven but I’m so sorry” he said crying. Elias turned towards him and tapped him on the shoulders, “what is done is done” he said, “You will have to live with this guilt for the rest of your life” he added walking away from Rowland. Dinia still stood beside it, sobbing hard, “I wish it was you in this position” she told Rowland who didn’t reply. “I deserve it” he said to himself. Dinia was a shadow of herself in the coming days, she couldn’t eat or smile. She walked slowly and was sobbing most of the time, locking herself in the room. Elias who was worried about her condition tried cheering her up, but it all ended in Vail, “my happiness has been cut short from me, what can I do but to suck on my sorrows” she once told him. “you need to eat Dinia, I don’t want to loose you too” Elias advised, “what else is there to live for?” she asked, sobbing even harder, “Aza is gone, there is nothing here for me on earth” she said. “This Karma” Dinia continued, “I am being paid for making families loose their loves ones. This is God paying me by taking the man I loved so much” Dinia lamented, “You need to be calm Dinia, I believe there is an explanation to all of these” Elias replied. “And who is going to give us that explanation? Raphael isn’t coming back down here remember?” she reminded him, “there is always a way” was the reply he gave her before leaving her to her tears. “We defeated Lucifer at the end but at what cost? I ended up causing the death of Aza. Will Elias ever forgive me? Will Dinia ever get over her grief? We ended up loosing people dear to us during this fight. My dear Rose and Aza, these losses can’t be replaced and the vacuum cannot be filled by any other person. I hope we all end up living this life as it has given us, irrespective of the loss we have faced.” Rowland said as he stood watching his daughter play in a garden.
