Chapter 29

CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE

“I’m so happy I would get my powers back and not just getting it back but on a triple dimension.” Aza said as they got home. “I cannot wait to get my revenge on Reckon” he added smiling. “Baby we have to get se rest, today is going to be a very long day and tomorrow will be hectic. We need our strength for that” said Dinia to Aza. “I agree with you babe,” Aza replied before turning to Elias who watched them with smiles, “We’ll see later and be prepared because you would be facing Lucifer” he said.

“And how do you know that?” Elias asked with raised eyebrow, “it’s normal, leader faces leader in a fight and don’t forget, Lucifer will want to get back at you for disgracing him in front of everyone” Aza pointed out before going in with Dinia.

Meanwhile in the space-time continuum, Raphael and Lucifer was engaged in a conversation, “Why are you meddling with my affairs?” Lucifer asked, “you can’t have your way with Elias. God is still interested in him” Raphael answered. “You remember the old days right? How I was your superior?” Lucifer asked smiling, “and I am sure you know I am more powerful than you and God didn’t strip any of my powers from me when I was cast down” he pointed out.

“It doesn’t change anything”, said Raphael, “you’re not and will never be in the glorious city”. “That statement could cause your life you know that right?” Lucifer asked smiling evilly. “I’m sure you remember what happened to you last time we had this conversation, just in case you forgot, I held you here for 21days during the time of Daniel and if not for Micheal you would have never left here” the devil said.

“That was long time ago and it doesn’t mean it would repeat itself” Raphael replied, “history always repeat itself fool” Lucifer said as he charged at him. Raphael who was already aware of Lucifer’s movements, moved out of the way before he got to him.

A surprise expression caressed the devil’s face as he never expected what just happened, “Surprised right?” Raphael asked smiling, “you forgot you’re in the space-time continuum and time doesn’t happen here. History doesn’t happen here” Raphael said softly. Lucifer was filled with rage, “Ahhhh!” he yelled and charged again towards the angel.

“You never learn from your mistakes Lucifer” Raphael said after slipping away the second time. “I would have loved to play with you till eternity” Raphael mocked “but sorry I have a job to do” he said spreading his wings and off he flew leaving enraged Lucifer.

“What happened my lord?” Reckon asked on seeing his master storm hell in rage, “Assemble the men!” Lucifer ordered, “we’re going to attack earth and wage war against Elias”. “All the men my lord?” Reckon asked surprised on how tens of thousands of demons would attack three powerless humans.

“Yes!” Lucifer said, “and you will lead them” he added, “yes my lord” Reckon replied and bowed out. “What do they take me for? I have to wipe Elias and his friends from the face of the earth as soon as possible. I can’t wait any further and not with the humiliation I faced in the space-time continuum is enough.” Lucifer thought to himself smiling.

Soon, demons assembled in never of ranks, all awaiting order from their leader who was Reckon. “Finally we are about attacking earth and the traitor” a demon said to another, “I can’t wait to visit earth” the demon replied, “what? You’ve never been to earth?” another demon who was eavesdropping asked. “No, I’ve been in hell since we fell, got recruited in the army and has been waiting for Armageddon.” The demon replied. “Earth is such a beauty and it’s a shame that mankind is using technology and civilization to destroy it” the demon who asked the question said shaking his head.

“All ready?” Reckon asked as he stood in front of the host, “Yes sir!” they chorused. “we are matching to earth with the sole purpose of wrecking havoc on the traitor, Elias and his counterparts. So be brave and fear not for he is powerless” Reckon gave his speech and lead the way.

 Just at they got to the boundary between hell and earth, there was an earthquake, the matching host stopped, “what’s going on?” Reckon asked his lieutenant, “I think an earthquake just began” he replied, “Why now?” Reckon said sadly. “We can still march to earth” the lieutenant said, “we can’t, there is only one thing to do, wait till it stops” Reckon said, “pass the message to the soldiers” he told his captain who was also beside him and he went at once to do as he was told.

On earth, humans ran for refuge, car crashed into each other as the earthquake was severe. Roof tops of buildings pulled out, cracks were made on walls. Screams were heard as everyone ran for safety. Elias, Aza and Dinia sat in their rooms, waiting patiently for the earthquake to be over. “So after this is the real deal” Elias said to himself as his body trembled, “Lucifer might bring all of hell and how then can we stand a chance?”, “And there is no place to hide from all these”.

Rowland held his daughter so tight as they hid under the table, “daddy I’m scared” Rebecca cried, “don’t be baby, daddy is here and everything is going to be alright* Rowland replied. “Do you trust Daddy?” he asked his daughter, “Yes daddy, I trust you” she answered, “then everything is going to be fine” he assured her. “we have a whole day of earthquake” he muttered inaudibly to himself.

Hell went loose when Lucifer heard of the earthquake, “What!” he exclaimed, “Why does it have to happen now?” he asked. “This cannot be a natural earthquake, I checked the earth situation, it was okay until now” he said to himself.
