Chapter 53

CHAPTER FIFTY-THREE

Elias was sobbing when his phone beeped the message tune, he saw the text Rowland sent to him and immediately zoomed off to meet Lilith. “God save her if she has laid her hands on Rowland” he said to himself.

On getting to the designated location, he met Rowland sitting down a dn Lilith standing beside him. “What have you done to him?” Elias asked Lilith, “I have not in anyway laid my hands on him. We were just have a chitchat that’s all and I needed you to join us” Lilith answered.

“Now you are here, we have to get down to the main business of the day” she continued and with a wave of hand, a portal opened behind Rowland and she pushed him into it. “Where did you take him to? Where did you send him to?” Elias asked impatiently. “Relax Elias, Rowland is safe for now” she replied.

“For now? How dare you threatening me” Elias said outraging, “it all depends on how you see it Elias and the outcome of this encounter will determine if Rowland lives longer” Lilith replied.

And with Thai Elias dived towards Lilith. Aza and Dinia was still at the hospital when their phone beeped. “Help Elias” was the message from his text in addition to the location the fight was happening.

Aza looked at Dinia, needing an excuse to go help Elias, “go ahead now babe” she said to him and Aza zoomed of to help his friend.

Meanwhile the portal lead Rowland to a playground where children played in the company of their parents. It was there Rowland got the opportunity to send the text to Aza who ran to take his revenge on Lilith.

O n getting there, he met Lilith who threw Elias like he weighed nothing and Elias landed on the ground with his bag. He rushed towards Lilith giving her series of punches, each following the other before she could recover from one.

Falling to the ground, Lilith groaned as she was surprised Aza showed up.”How did he know where I was?” she asked herself, “Oh! Rowland” she said forming a fist and running towards Aza.

Now they were two and she couldn’t face them both at the same time. The two men used this opportunity to showcase their fighting skills, each sending a round of blows across the body of Lilith. She couldn’t dodge anyone as they came in fast.

“This is for Dinia who you tried killing” Aza said sending one last punch. This one weighed heavier than others as Lilith staggered and fell into a portal she opened.

Aza was about to following her but was stopped by Elias, “she is gone let her be”. “I need to follow her Elias, she need to pay for what she did” Aza protested. “I am saving you from unknown danger Aza” Elias replied, “you do not know where she is going to, that may be too risky for you if you joined her” he added rubbing the back of his friend.

“She would be a fool if she shows up again” Elias added. Just then they heard a round of applause behind them and turning to the direction, they met Raphael who stood and clapped with beaming eyes and curved lips. “well done soldiers” he said.

“Wait! Where you here all along?” Aza asked, “Yes” the angel replied, “and you saw everything” Elias asked and Raphael nodded. Why didn’t you help?” Aza asked again.

“You guys had everything under control so my help was not needed. Moreover I was with Dinia few seconds ago making sure Lilith never goes to her” the angel replied. “So who is with her now?” Aza asked, “She is here” Raphael replied as he clicked his fingers together and Dinia appeared.

She was sitting on a wheelchair, and she was smiling, “you did it babe” she said to her love opening up her hands for a hug which aza went for. “I watched how you guys fought Lilith and made her flee into her portal” Dinia said after she had hugged Aza.

“She won’t come anymore” Raphael assured them, “and how do you know that?” they chorused asking him, “well, in haste of fleeing, she opened the portal never getting it to mind the destination she would go. So I helped her”

“What did you do?” Elias asked after watching a smile grow on Raphael’s face. “I sent her to hell and this time she isn’t coming out”. “Wow!” Dinia exclaimed, “I never knew Angels are cunning”. “we are not, I just helped her with her destination, that’s all”.

Everyone laughed. “I am so glad it is all over” Aza said, “and I hope there is no other attack coming from the underworld” he asked, “hopefully not” the angel replied. “You guys have to go home now, Rowland should be waiting for you” Raphael pointed out.

“I have to go” he added waving his hands as he slowly faded into thin air. “Angels have a lot of way to travel, you know” Elias commented, “While demons just have one” Aza added. “Sometimes I wish I was still in heaven and never part of LUCIFER’S rebellion” Elias replied.

“Me too you know, I do think of it almost everyday of my life and I feel.it happened for a reason. I mean look at us, humans with superpowers. Who ever conceived that we will defeat the devil and his host of demons” Elias said smiling.

“I’m tired” Aza replied stretching his body, “I don’t think I can run back home” he added. “Don’t worry my love, Raphael showed me a way to open portals” Dinia replied and with a wave of her hand, a portal opened in front of them and they could see their house at the other side.

“Wow! This is nice” Aza said as he held her hand and the couple walked into the portal. Elias who was smiling and feeling at peace with himself followed suit.
