Chapter 50

CHAPTER FIFTY

After the call, Elias thought to himself, “Lilith is up to something, and I have to figure it out” before zooming off.

The door opened and Rebecca’s mother stepped out. Seeing her daughter, she hugged her so tightly with tears in her eyes. Rowland stood and watched the love that ensured between mother and daughter. “I missed you mum” Rebecca said as she hugged her mother, “I missed you too baby” her mum replied before discharging from the hug

“Thank you so much for bringing her back” Rebecca’s mum said to Rowland who smiled back and replied, “I want you to keep her safe and take good care of her”. “I will, I promise” she replied. “Ehm, can you come inside, let me offer you something to eat” she offered, “no I’m fine, I actually didn’t get to take an excuse from my boss at work, so I have to get going now” Rowland replied with smiles on her face.

“Alright” she replied, “thank you once again”. “I’ll be going now” Rowland said before turning to his daughter, “I will miss you baby, but you have to stay here for your safety okay?”, “okay daddy” Rebecca replied, “Please be careful daddy” she added and Rowland nodded before saying, “I will, bye for now” and left the place.

Elias ran around the city, in search for a clue of what plan Lilith was scheming. “I can’t dull for any reason. I need to find out what Lilith is planning” he said to himself. Stopping at a junction, he picked his phone and dialed Aza’s phone number.

Aza’s phone that was on one of the tables in the eatery began to ring, “Aza speaking” Aza said after he had picked the call, “I cannot figure out Lilith’s plan” Elias said through the phone, “But how do you intend to find out her plan? There is no way you can” Aza replied.

“Where’s Dinia?” Elias asked, “attending to a customer” he replied, “but I think she would soon be through with him”. Aza motioned to Dinia to come over and she quickly finished with her customer and went over to him. Aza gave her the phone muttering Elias name so she could know who she was about to speak to.

“What is the update Elias?” she asked, “Tell me more of Lilith’s skills, I just ran around the city looking for clues that might help me figure out what she is planning” Elias replied.

“Running around do not solve anything Elias. I know you are worried about Rowland and his daughter but I will advice you to take it slow in that way you will be able to figure the patterns. Rushing will only blindfold your eyes to the clues in which you search for” Dinia advised.

Elias nodded, “so what should I do?” he asked, “Stay close to the humans” she suggested, “I can’t do this alone, put the phone on speaker” Elias said and she did. “Aza you have to leave the shop and come over here. I’ll text you the location of Rebecca’s mum’s house. You need to watch over here” Elias instructed and Aza replied, “on it” before the call ended.

“Be careful” Dinia said to her love as he made his way outside. Just then a thought crossed her mind, “what if this is the plan?” she asked herself, “what if this is made to separate us and attack us individually?”. “Oh my God! This is the plan” she said running outside to stop Aza but he had already gone.

She hurriedly took her phone and dialed Elias’ number, “Dinia?” he answered, “Elias this is the plan, she is planning to take us down one by one. She wants to separate us. You need to come back now with Aza. Take Rowland along with you”

Just then a knock was heard on the door of the shop and on turning, there was Lilith standing, “oh my… she’s here” Dinia said over the phone before ending the call, “You are the smartest of them on this case and you know too much about me” Lilith said as she walked slowly into the shop

“what are you doing here?” Dinia asked with folded fist ready to fight, “I can’t afford to have someone who knows too much about me on earth, breathing the same air as these ignorant humans” Lilith answered, walking towards her, “and as you have guessed, I am here to end you”.

Meanwhile in the city where Elias stood, he overhead the last words of Dinia before the call ended and was perplexed. Just then Aza came to him, “I’m here Elias, what is the address of her mom’s house” he enquired.

The face on Elias face spelled something was wrong, “what is it Elias?” he asked, “Dinia is in trouble, Lilith found her” Elias replied but before he could add another word, Aza zoomed off to save Dinia.

Aza’s POV

As he ran, he thought to himself, “be fine for me baby, I am coming for you. Just be okay, fight baby, fight”.

Elias was behind him, he was angry with himself, why didn’t he think of that . He was so occupied in getting to know what plan Lilith was scheming not knowing he was already in the plan and it was playing out right before him. He felt used, and played.

“If anything happens to Dinia, Lilith I swear by the heavens, you will regret it, I swear” Aza said to himself, pushing himself to the limit as he ran as fast as he can.

On getting to the shop, they met it scattered, chairs and tables broken, windows shattered. “Dinia? Dinia?” Aza called out, as he looked for her amongst the rumbles. Taking to the side piles of broken chairs, “baby, where are you please answer me” Aza said sobbing.

At that moment, a noise was heard at one corner of the shop. “Dinia?” Aza called, moving over to the corner. He met Dinia seriously injured, a wood planted into her side and blood looked for spaces on the ground to occupy. “Oh no!” Aza said as he lifted her up, “We need to take her to the hospital now” Elias said, helping him carry her on his shoulders.
