The airport was busy as expected, with people moving to and fro, traveling for business, pleasure, or both. Haley was one of those people who were traveling for both business and pleasure. Her blonde hair bounced gently on her back as she pulled her suitcase behind her, leaving the airport. Her brownish-black eyes sparkled with excitement as she went through the procedures and finally boarded the plane. She was one of only four people in the first-class cabin, and even though it was her first time flying first class, that wasn’t the reason she was excited. Unable to keep it to herself, she quickly rummaged through her purse and took out her phone to make a call. “Hey Eva, what’s up?” Haley said with excitement evidently entwined in her tone. “Oo! Someone woke up on the right side of the bed today,” Eva replied, noticing the excitement in her voice. “I know right?” Haley shrieked in excitement. “So, what is the cause of all this joy?” Eva asked with an eager tone, hungry for all the gossip Haley had for her. “Did you finally go to a club and hit it off with another guy?” “What?!” Haley exclaimed. “God no,” she chuckled. “Why would I do that and ruin my three years old relationship with Carter?” “It has been three years already?” Eva asked, surprised. “Uh huh,” Haley smiled and unbuckled her seat belt. “We are turning three today,” she squealed happily. “Oh my God, that is today?” Eva exclaimed. “I am so happy for you babe. It’s a shame you wouldn’t be back to celebrate it with him,” she said with a slightly saddened tone. “That’s why I called you though, the rest of the business trip was canceled. I get to come back home an entire week earlier than I had planned,” Haley gave a little dance in her seat. “Talk about getting lucky,” Eva said with an ‘I am so happy for you’ tone. “So, when will you be coming home? Carter would be ecstatic to see you.” “I… I don’t know,” Haley lied and giggled. “Liar,” Eva replied. “What?!” “Yeah, you always giggle like a dolphin when you are in a good mood and you lie,” Eva laughed. “Alright, alright,” Haley chuckled. “I know when I will be back but I am not going to tell you. I know you and how much you love to ruin surprises, and I don’t want Carter to know I am coming.” “Damn!” Eva exclaimed with a gasp like she had just been shot right through the heart. “That was not fair. I mean it is true but how dare you?” she laughed, speaking with a really dramatic tone. “I am still not telling you anything miss drama queen,” Haley laughed. “Whatever girl, I just wanted to know so you don’t come home and you know… catch me red-handed in bed with your man,” Eva said jokingly. “Oh, I would skin you alive if that happened,” Haley laughed. “You wouldn’t dare,” Eva replied. “Anyways, what are you getting him as a present? I heard him talking with a friend last week about buying a PES 5, but he was skeptical about buying it in case you decided to get him one as a present. I didn’t realize why you would get him a present till you told me about the anniversary.” “Already bought him one,” Haley blushed. “I also got him a new suit and some accessories.” “It must be hard giving gifts to such a high-class boyfriend, right? I mean they are so rich that they consider our most expensive gifts as cheap stuff,” Eva sighed. “Well, not Carter, he knows how to receive and appreciate a present. Besides, the main present is something he can’t call cheap,” she said and bit down lightly on her lips. “Oo!” Eva exclaimed. “Sounds like someone is going to get lucky tonight,” she said with a playful tone. “Mm-hmm,” Haley smirked. “I am already wet down there just thinking about what he will do to my body and what I will do to him,” she said, not realizing when a moan escaped her lips, just as an air hostess was passing by her. “Are … Are you alright ma’am?” the lady asked. “Oh, I’m fine, sorry,” Haley replied with an embarrassed look on her face and the hostess nodded and left. “Damn it, Eva, talking to you always somehow lands me in weird and wrong situations,” Haley groaned playfully. “It also got you Carter so… yeah, you can’t have just one side of this cake,” Eva said, feeling smug about herself. “Yeah, yeah, I am done talking to you,” Haley laughed. “I’ll see you when I get back.” “Alright love, have fun on your ride back, I know I will be having fun on what I am about to ride,” Eva chuckled. “You are a terrible slut; you know that right?” Haley laughed. “And it is a flight, not a ride,” she said with a chuckle. “Well, flight doesn’t have a s*x position… at least not yet.” “God! I don’t know how we became friends,” Haley said and they both laughed. “Anyways, I will see you later,” Haley said and ended the call, making sure not to give away the fact that she was already on a return flight back to the city. She sighed and allowed herself to ease into the comfort of flying first class. Before long, she was back in New Jersey. Her excitement was still very much alive as she strutted through the airport and boarded a taxi. She played music and plugged her ears, trying to distract herself from the thought of being in bed with Carter again after over a month of being in another city. The music worked for a while but before long, the music faded into the background all she could think of was what it would feel like to be filled up by him once again. The memories of those nights flooded her mind and she was once again biting down on her lower lip. She had totally forgotten herself and where she was and was moments away from touching herself when the cab driver tapped her rapidly. “We are here ma’am.” “Oh … I am so sorry,” she apologized and took off her ear pods. She paid the driver and took her suitcase. She sighed and admired the duplex for a moment before walking in through the gate to the door and allowing herself into the house with her keys. She unzipped her suitcase and took out the boxed PES 5 in it and with a smile, made her way up to his room. She got to the door and slowly pushed it open, ready to shout ‘SURPRISE!’, but the smile on her face shrunk at the sight she found.
