Chapter 34It was JavaLynne and the hodag who really helped get them in toward any of the devices Sean hadn’t yet destroyed; Dane couldn’t have done it alone. Together he and Big Frank took one side of Sean, while JavaLynne and the hodag guarded the other. Frequently Dane had to grab Sean and keep him going the right way, and occasionally Big Frank did the same for Dane. He was keeping focused and overriding the weird s**t all around him, in his mind, by focusing solely on the one task.
Eventually everything opened up on the wells. Bodies fried by acid lay about, or those ripped apart by dragons. Pieces of the restraining devices Sean had destroyed dotted the area.
