Chapter 35His mouth burned, sour. Sean heaved again, nothing more coming up, vision hazy. He’d just felt Seth die. He didn’t know why he wasn’t dead, too. Unless he was. Sean held up a hand in front of his face, squinting at it, wondering whether it looked particularly ghostly or not. Someone nearby was crying. Sean blinked, turning until he could see Kate, tears streaming down her face, clutching the edge of the folding table. Poor kid. In the middle of this hell with a Lithe Fellow in her mind. Gone now, of course, Seth was dead…Big Frank seemed to hesitate next to her, then reached out an arm and waited for Kate to lean into him. She did. Sean looked for Dane next, found the Decrypter moving over to where Seth sprawled, form flickering. He raised his gun and shot the body several time
