MY LOVE _ MY SAVIOR

She woke up feeling really weak; she had cried herself to sleep again....(sniffles) ''I miss you mom" stares at her picture on the wall before sighing and tries to get off the bed "Mel"!! her dad's voice came ringing from downstairs , "yes dad" she shouts back "Just a minute I'll be down soon" She said making way to the bathroom, "Alright queen, make it quick" He said setting up the table for breakfast ; ......."well what do we have here" "Hello madam (curtseying jokingly ) hope you slept well" "(folds her arms around her chest smiling slightly) yes I did , Good morning dad" (settles on the dining table), "Morning Angel, (notices her slightly swollen eyes and sighs softly) Mel, have you been crying again?" (she shifts slightly) I know you miss your mom infact we both do, but you can't keep crying everyday like this...Please... I love you so much and I don't want to lose you too honey, you have to be strong okay..?" "Yes dad, but.... I.... miss mom... so much" he stares at her for a while as tears wells up in his eyes "It's okay honey, I totally understand how you feel, and I would be lying if I said i don't feel the same way,.. but we can't keep sulking forever..., if your mom were to be here , am pretty sure she wouldn't want to see you like this , so cheer up okay".... (she smiles slightly) "Okay" " Now that's my angel right there (she blushes ), well that being said..., I have something to tell you" He stares at her unsure whether to continue "What's that?"....(she replied focusing solely on her food) "Um... well... What do you think of a new mom?" "What?!! daddd!!" She screamed " So you mean just four months after moms death you want to marry someone else??, is that how much you love her??" She stated bluntly "Mel, you can't talk to me like that..., am your dad! and I want the best for you!!, You think am happy with the way you sit around and sulk all day??! I just want to make you feel better that's all!" He said half yelling "Seriously dad?, well if you think bringing another woman into this house to pretend like my mom will make me happy..., then you're so wrong dad! you're wrong!!" She screaming slamming her fists on the table. "Mel calm down, I know understand how you feel right now, but you need to understand me too honey..., and by the way she's not a stranger! she's someone you know!" Rolls her eyes obviously still pissed "Someone i know?" "Yes ......it's your Aunt ......Ca...catherine " "What! dad! you mean to tell me that you're going to marry my mom's best friend???...., Hell no! That's never gonna happen!..., have you had your eyes on her even before mom's death??! So you've been cheating on mom with her best friend even before her death!! seriousl.... (He sprang up and slaps her agitatedly) "You will not speak to me in that manner young lady!!! Now get back to your room" "Fine! but just so you know she has no place here!!" she screamed amidst tears and ran to her room while he sat down regretting what he just did...., But he shrugged after a while "It's for her good anyways" he tries to comfort himself but he still has this unsettling feeling in him .... like he's doing something wrong..... Melissa enters her room and slams the door, picks up her moms picture and starts sobbing again.... "Mom, dad is getting married to someone else... your best friend for that matter!... As much as I love her..., I don't want her to be my mother mom! I just can't accept it... It hurts so much mom..... " She sobs quietly before drifting off to sleep . Jason (Her dad) stood by the door listening to his daughter weep in silence but he couldn't bring himself to go in... He stood there for a while then peeped through the keyhole and saw that she was asleep so he went back downstairs and packed up the table then headed for his room to get ready for work, But he still couldn't get over the thought that he made his precious daughter cry.... AT WORK "So Mr Anderson, the project kick started on a very good note but there are still some paperwork that needs your attention and you need to sign them today so we can continue as soon as possible sir" ..."Mr Anderson?" Suddenly jolted back to reality "Yes yes you were saying...." His PA stares at him briefly before asking " Sir is everything alright? you haven't been paying attention, even in the conference room... Are you okay sir?" He asked feeling concerned "It's fine am okay ..... just dealing with some personal issues but am fine thanks for asking...., so what were you saying?" He stares at him carefully before continuing "I said the project with the Hudson has started but there are still some paperwork that needs your attention sir" He calmly explains "Oh okay, You know what? drop them on my table I'll tend to them tomorrow morning, I need to be somewhere" He stated making to leave "Erm... Alright sir" Jason packed up quickly and left for home, he couldn't concentrate on driving properly, all he was thinking about was Melissa "What could she be doing?.... Is she still asleep?.... Is she up and crying again?.... will she forgive me?....." He was whisked out of his thought by the sound of an incoming vehincle, he quickly swerved right and focused on driving and getting home safe first... but he had to get Melissa a gift, So he stopped by at a gift shop , after searching for a while... he found a purple teddy bear (Melissa loves purple) she he bought it and some flowers too. He drove in and headed straight for her room "Mel!" no response .. "Mel I know you can hear me... am really sorry for what happened in the morning okay, you know daddy would never hurt you on purpose right? Your Aunt Catherine offered to move in with us with her daughter Isabella so you won't feel lonely and I thought of it as a great idea that's why I accepted it....., I won't marry her if you don't want me to okay... she can just come and live with us but I won't marry her okay?" still no response "Hey daddy got you a gift" but he still got no response ...., he sighed and sat at her doorstep waiting for her to come out "I'll be here waiting till you forgive me oka..." the door flung open "Hi dad" she said staring at him blankly "Hi honey, daddy got you a gift (he hands the teddy bear to her and stares at her carefully) Have you had something to eat?.. are you still mad at me?.. Am sorry okay?" She stares at him then smiles slightly "You can't bribe me with this you know" He smiles broadly and clasp his hands "Well how do I make the goddess happy then?" She stares at him for a while before stepping aside so he can come in "Come in dad, let's talk" He walks in enthusiastically and sat on her bed staring at her with high hopes , she sat beside him and stares before starting "Am sorry for being rude in the morning dad, I didn't mean it" "It's okay honey, I went too far too, am really sorry okay" "It's okay, I guess I overreacted in the morning, I was so selfish to think about my emotions alone, but I won't stop you from getting married to her if you like her okay".
