Chapter 6 Second Chance

The first glance at Levi didn’t make Janet recognize her.
So when Matt said that name hesitantly, Janet looked around, “Sorry what?”
“Why Levi’s here?”
A slender, beautiful, young woman walked towards them. Her makeup is too much for Janet, but one had to admit her charm. Her skin looked like porcelain. Her hair was even more beautiful, curly and blonde like silky gold.
She is Levi? But isn’t Levi a boy???
She didn’t talk much to Levi when in high school. Basically, they were not “friends”. That horrible evening when her notebooks were burnt was the only time they talked to each other. But she had eyes. Her classmate Levi was a boy. That was for sure.
Levi walked directly to Matt and gave him a tight, tight hug.
Matt coughed lightly, gently stepped away from Levi and looked at Janet, “You already know him… her. She was our classmate.”
“Emmm, I beg your pardon? I remembered that Levi was…”
“A boy, yes, I used to be a boy.” The young woman smiled, “Technically I’m transgender. I had some surgeries when I was 18. Now I’m a woman.”
“Congratulations. It must feel good to be who you want to be for a long time.” Matt smiled.
“Who I want to be……” her smile became bitter, “I’ve been in Europe for a couple of years, studying arts. Everything goes well. But I just can’t… I just can’t let go that day……”
Janet was almost crying. Levi had been traumatized for all these years. Her heart was so delicate. Pain can make the best artist, but her life would not be happy any more.
She wanted to hug her, tap on her back and tell her it was not her fault.
Janet reached out her arm and…… stopped, when she heard Levi’s following words.
“I love you, I love you even when you’re torturing me. I don’t want to let go the second chance.”she put a kiss on Matt’s shocking face,“I’m yours. Let me be yours.”

Things went more mysterious now.
Janet really wanted to ask them: what on earth happened that day? And if it was just a love affair, why was she involved?
But Levi’s eyes locked on Janet when they were hugging. Like she was saying, “go away”.
Janet shook her head and went on reviewing the homework of her students.
To be honest, that picture of Levi and Matt hugging each other was very eye-catching. Well, a blonde, slender beauty and a handsome man in suit, with his muscle making his shirt a little bit tight, who wouldn’t think it’s super hot?
She heard the “ding” sound from her phone. It was a message on f*******: from Matt.
- I need to clarify that Levi and I are not that kind of relationship.
Janet was confused. She didn’t know why Matt sent this message to her. It’s none of her business that Levi became a girl and was dating with Matt right?
- What do you mean “that kind of relationship”? I didn’t say you are. But still best wishes to you two.
- We are not dating. And we never had been.
She wanted to continue her work so she just left Matt alone. In few seconds, another message came.
- I knew he had been fond of me in high school though.
- Excuse me, are you showing off that you were popular in the high school? No interest by the way.
She rolled her eyes when typing these words.
- I was not happy about that. Levi did something to attract my attention, but only arouse Hugh’s excitement. Hugh and his companions bullied him. I was there and I know I was one of the bad guys. I’m still guilty about that.
He feels guilty? Then how about me? Will he also feel guilty about crashing down my dream?
She saw he was still typing so she waited.
- If you have been hating me for this, you have my apologies. I wanted to make friends with you because I saw you were reading PJ David in the class. Jack saved me. I wanted to know more about him, about his daughter, you.
Well……Matt loved my father? What the hell.
She turned off her phone and threw it on the bed. So naturally, she didn’t saw the last message Matt sent her:
- I’ve always thinking that you’re cute and interesting. I can’t help keep closer to you.

The other day, Janet saw Matt was Levi again. They seemed to go somewhere when school was over. Matt also saw Janet staring at them. He waved at her.
“Hey Miss Johnson, wanna have some food with us?”
“Matt!” Levi sounded a little angry and…… sweet. Greasily sweet. “It will be just two of us! I think Janet wants to go home. Do you honey?”
“Oh yes, yes, right. I’m going home.” She faked a grin. “You two have a good night. Bye.”
What is that? Is she going to fight with me? She sighed and walked to the bus station.
Levi looked so possessive. Her love for Matt surprised Janet because he was supposed to be her bully. Janet was worried that this relationship would hurt Levi again.
All in all, falling in love with your bully usually leads to an unhealthy relationship. You love him just because of his face or some cheap gentle words while he is torturing you? Wake up girls and read less bad boy romance!
Levi and Matt had a real good night that night. When Janet opened her f*******:, she saw Levi posted “Lots of love and my only love” with a picture. A picture that they looked drunk and they were kissing.
Matt’s eyes were closed. Seemed that he was enjoying.
OK. Great. Congratulations. Hope he will not harass me in school anymore since he already had a possessive beautiful girl friend.
Her phone buzzed. A text message from a stranger.
