‘An All seeing eye, an eye that perceive the life force around, the unusual superior eye of combat oriented demons, less than 1% of the demons population possesses such eye but why does this human have it. A human clueless of the demon world or the existence of Entha, is that really possible. I haven’t heard of such instances but if it did really function as one then it is beyond my comprehension… For the time being, let us test it; his eye should be able to see beyond this roof, if not the entire structure of Earth; while we're at it, let us test the range, perhaps the stars… A revolving white wheels filled with eyes? Isn’t that an Ophanim. Forget about the test we have to run!, Gale, heed my call Gale, I’m coming back… tsk the domain broke, an angel in the flesh, its my first time seeing one but its just as the book says, metallic white wings, a porcelain synthetic skin and a halo bright enough to blind its pure white eyes, surely this one would try to kill us.’
The angel raised it’s faintly glowing sword up and swung forward, as a response, Calix rushed on to cover for Esteroth, He closed his eyes shut and exposed his front to the angel intent on killing them, but inches before the blade could split his head open, the scenery changed to that of an inside of an old European interior, the angel was nowhere to be seen and with a clang, the tip of the sword, which had been severed from the original long sword by an invisible force, lost momentum and fell to the floor.
‘My body had moved on its own to shield her. I’ve change, haven’t I? The thought of ceasing to exist, which I’ve desperately wanted, caused a ripple in my heart; it's not pleasant, especially the realization that I am shaking at the anticipation of the sword reaching my head. This might be the result of this demon’s magic or temptation, but I don't mind; That desire to die had left me when she used that strange magic and I started to picture living, as something beautiful, that scenery of countless streaks of lights in the earths atmosphere gave me a strange sense of comfort. I’m grateful for this encounter, and...I want to observe, discover, and venture more of this world but the fact that the one who showed me such beauty and incited my will to live, was about to be severed… I decided to lay down my life for her'
Calix mistook his actions for those of someone tempted by the demon, but he was mistaken; the demon eyes of temptation worked on humans, not demons or converted demons like his case; everything he had done since Esteroth cast aside his human vessel was his own free will.
"You probably don't know, but that's quite brave of you, suicidal maniac, if that sword had reached you, your very existence would have been erased right this very moment," Esteroth said, taken aback by Calix's sudden heroic action, her gaze fixed on the unmuscular back of the nineteen-year-old Calix. She sighed in relief, glad that they made it back safely.
Following Esteroth's words, Calix slowly opened his eyes and found himself in an empty red European designed room fit for nobility. Swaths of white lines formed a huge circle below him, with a star and various repeating symbols ornamenting it, indicating that it was far more artistic than what Calix had drawn, above him a large chandelier with a large number of candles bolted to it, graced the room with its orange light, and turning to his side, he locked eyes with a butler or a butler-looking old man dressed in a formal black tailcoat that complemented his black eyes, grey hair and beard,
“Welcome back, are you all right, milady?” asked Gale, worried at the sudden call for teleport,
“And I offer my greatest respect to you and I thank you for your service o Grandif” he continued, bowing his head,
‘Grandif?’
"I'm fine, Gale, an angel descended, but we made it back here on time," Esteroth assured.
"That means Sir Grandif has rescued you!" Excitedly said Gale, he was about to prostrate on the ground in front of Calix but Esteroth's next word stopped him halfway.
“No he is not a Grandif, he was formerly human, well he did try to save me but it was unneeded”
“human? But milady, his eyes” replied the curious Gale.
"I know it's the same, but seriously, he's of human origin, where is that dumb ass, I need to talk to him," Esteroth grumbled.
Calix kept silent, he could only smile wryly at the exchange of words between the two, he had no idea what a Grandif was or what they were talking about, but he did understand that the demon he had summoned was somewhat important to this butler, he had seen the butler worry and even prostrate at the mistaken assumption that he had saved Esteroth.
“Is that so, The Lord went out for a summon, but still if you’re formerly human like me then it’s about time” said Gale, shifting his gaze back to Calix.

Thump thump, his heartbeat echoed in his ear and began to race, so fast that his veins bulged, and a feeling of something foreign began to seep in through his skin to his muscles and blood vessels, and it began to reach for his brain, his body was hot and yet he was shivering, like a fever on a different scale. He laid on the floor and clutched his knees hoping to gain as much warmth as he can. He felt hazy at his throbbing brain which is in synced with the echoing highspeed beats of his heart, thus he kept his eyes shut closed and focused on maintaining his rugged breathing.
