‘Wait, is he gonna jump?. Yup he jumped, ouch that must hurt, that’s hilarious just look at his flailing legs kufufufufu, of course your going to choke on that. Humans really are weird, but this perhaps would be the first one to desire nothing, that’s probably why he decided to send me here, that dumb ass!. Tsk its my first summon you know. Well at least he’s a bit interesting. Humans normally lose their mind at the sight of us but he’s holding out pretty well, I guess I’ll make him my subordinate, my first subordinate hehe’
“I Esteroth De Val welcome you as my subordinate”
“I refuse” instantly replied Calix,
“Eh? So, what exactly do you want?" Esteroth tilted her head, puzzled by Calix's response and losing her mighty tone.
It was common sense in the demon world to be summoned by people with a desire for something from simple things such as love to the most vicious wishes, or the people who reached rock bottom seeking for refuge from the cruel world they are unfortunately born at, there are also those people looking for a thrill, an escape from the boring everyday life they have, and the people who simply want knowledge, however Calix doesn’t seem to fit any of those criteria, he simply wanted to die, a first of it’s kind. It’ll be a waste to simply absorb Calix’s life force and reduce him to a mere servant which would be no different to a puppet or so Esteroth thought.
“I have no idea, and before anything else. I don’t even know what you are, you are far from the demon I had imagined, I simply did that ritual with no hope of it working, simply I just tried it to test myself if I did have a desire for something but yeah, as you guessed, I just want to die” sighed Calix, with no sense of danger, lying comfortably on the concrete face up, spreading his arms rendering him defenseless.
“tsk, and just when I thought you were something special, aren't you just a depressed, stupid human?" grumbled Esteroth, reverting to her true nature, the suffocating presence she had previously, dissipated. She looked at the pitiful thing in front of her and nudge him gently with her foot, swaying him back and forth.
“Probably” nonchalantly answered Calix,
“Probably my ass, you are definitely, totally, one hundred percent sad, you are that kind of people right, the one with a dramatic life waiting for someone to save them…get up Juliet!”
Esteroth yanked Calix up and sat him down with force.
“Calix, you’re in luck.” Your Romeo had arrived, that said you’d be serving as my subordinate, I’ll make sure you have a great time in hell,” Esteroth laughed as she flicked her hair backwards.
“that doesn’t sound convincing at all, wouldn’t I just burn for eternity”
Calix didn't argue with Esteroth about him being depressed; he knew he was probably depressed, but what bothered him the most was that he had no idea what was causing it; it was like a flick of a switch and he suddenly felt empty, he lost all kinds of worldly desires, and it was as if death was calling for him, as if something or someone was waiting for him, and he simply had to die to find out, and today his curiosity got the best of him.
“No you wouldn’t, far from it, hell is just another planet far from Earth and you might as well call us demons an alien specie. I see… I take back my words Calix you aren’t depressed, what your feeling now ‘in the demon language' is called Entha, the calling of a greater power and the reason why I’m probably sent here”
After finishing her sentence, Esteroth narrowed her eyes, chanted a short prayer like stanza and swiftly drove her fist into Calix’s thorax. Along with Calix's scream gust of wind spanned around the room,
Calix had let his guard too much, he forgot the fact that the seemingly harmless teenager in front of him was a demon.
“You worthle- arghh” Yelled Calix,
Another excruciating pain, He could feel Esteroth's hand moving inside his thorax, making its way to his heart; he resisted by trying to push Esteroth's hand out, but it didn't even budge; a second later, he could feel his heart being ripped out; he expected to see his beating heart in Esteroth's clutch, but his line of sight had moved forward as well. Like a hermit casting its heavy shell, he felt light and liberated. He returned his gaze and stared silently at the scene behind him. It was his lifeless body on the floor.
"What did you do, Esteroth?" Calix inquired, he still had a body but a copy of himself was laying on the floor, a perplexing situation for Calix but no response had reached him.
Esteroth remained silent, stunned by what she was witnessing. The conversion magic she used was advanced, a type of magic specialized in by the house of De Val. It converts any type of said specie into their own (demon) in exchange for a large reserve of the caster's mana, everything went well, the problem was instead of a crimson hair and a crimson eye Calix had black hair and a deep shade of green pupils.
“AN 'ALL SEEING EYE’ “ she muttered.
