Jack hooked-up with Mike outside Downing Street and they made their way up Whitehall, across the bottom end of Trafalgar Square, Jack briefing Mike as they walked at a pace, Mike asking what “hook-up” meant; he was so CTwenty. They had agreed to meet the Colonel and Andrew Friend in the Two Chairman’s pub.
The Two Chairman’s was a Harry Potter, Order of the Phoenix, type of pub, compressed corner frontage, discreet, just off Trafalgar Square, you would hardly notice it if you didn’t know it was there, narrow inside, sawdust. Jack loved it, and could think of no better pub for counter conspiracy, nice bar counter as well, Jack thought, acknowledging someone had to do the counting.
